"May the Foreskin Be With You". Amazing book title. People act like I'm insane when I speak out against circumcision. Even more so when they find out that I am circumcised--so naturally I'd be for it right, so I can fulfill some weird satisfaction of knowing my son's penis is mutilated "like mine". I have a deviated septum so I think I'll break my son's nose at some point so our faces can match too.

I've actually heard some people refer to a foreskin as a "flap" of skin. It says a lot.

This has made me love Alan Cumming even more. This is such an amazing article. I think I might have to show this to my boyfriend.

It is alarming that in this day and age it is more normal for a male to have mutilated genitals. I don't think it makes someone less or more of a "man" either way it just frightens me that it's still something that happens and makes me feel for males who have been circumcised that they don't get to enjoy as much sexual pleasure as they are entitled to. Though I suppose it is still good that most are able to enjoy it all considering the few people I've encountered who have little to no sensitivity because of their circumcision. Still to mutilate an infant who can't say yes or no and to use the excuse that they can't feel anything is appalling.

So boring and needless. This is like arguing about gay mariage. So many more important things to fix and before I get the inevitable 'Well you're a Jew and we can concentrate and fix more than one thing at a time' I'd like to say no I'm not and no we can't. We never do. I still hear racism is rampant in the states and it's been fifty plus years. Work on the things that matter!
