These comments always make me so angry. Yeah? A man can defend himself against this woman. BUT WHEN HE HITS HER IN SELF DEFENSE, HE GETS JAILED. Why is it so hard for people to understand that if a man retaliates, he is making it WORSE for himself, because yes, a man would easily (in most cases) be able to overpower a 5ft 1 girl, but when he does, HE IS THE ONE WHO TAKES THE HEAT. The same people would most likely cry "WTF THIS MAN IS HORRIBLE. YOU NEVER HIT A GIRL, NEVER EVER EVER EVER!"

Edit: I also find it rather ridiculous how people are saying things like "Why didn't he just leave?" Is THAT not victim blaming? Would they be saying the same to a beaten woman?
