To replenish the lost population, it is much better to end up with a 100 women and 10 men than the other way round.

We're living in a time where the planet is teetering on the point of being unable to support human life if our numbers keep going.

The last thing a woman should be prioritized for these days is the ability to reproduce. We certainly don't need any more babies.

The funny thing is that saying girls and women need help is offensive to them, but, sure enough, when the ship hits the sandbar they'll go to the front of the line for their entitlement.

This got me thinking of "feminism" in general and how conflicted it is regarding "equality". I have this picture in my head of a woman with one foot securely on the "ladies first" dock and the other foot in the row boat of equality as it begins to drift away from the dock. Invariably, as the boat pulls away, many, dare I say most, women choose to scramble back onto the dock. I don't blame them. If I had "carchamp1 first" dock I'd probably use it too.

This is a great article. Equality means equality. "Women and children first" is nonsense. Women aren't children, they're fully functioning adults. I don't see a reason for a life to be valued more or less simply because of gender.

Observation:

Discrimination against women might cost them a raise.

Discrimination against men might cost them their lives.

Why were women fighting over lifeboat space? Do they honestly feel that they're entitled to live at the expense of men?

I was watching Comedy Central the other night with my girlfriend and Carlos Mencia was doing a standup. Now, usually I cannot stand this guy at all, but something he said stuck with me.

All of these women fighting for equality, specifically equality in the workplace. You don't want to be treated like men, you want to get paid like men and still get treated like a woman.

The standard that men are obliged to open doors for women(or in this case, let them get rescued first) sort've ruins the fight for equality in the workplace.

It's more important to identify the people who need help. That's important and that's what people tend to do.

So, as much as we would like to circle jerk about women marching to the front of the line for their entitlement when evacuating a sinking ship, this specialist clearly states that that doesn't happen. So.. yeah.
