It's saddening that this happened, however, this isexactly what the MRM exists to help prevent. Without knowing the specifics of his case I can't say more. I will say that men need the emotional support that the MRM offers, and this might not have happened were this man not feeling cornered by something.

Had he been one of us he might not have done that. A little support, and a sympathetic shoulder can do a lot for a person.

Please allow me to correct the OP on the title of this submit. We have very few custody "battles" in America. Most children of separation are simply kidnapped from their fathers by mom through state sanction.

You can't just steal millions of father's children on a routine basis through our "family" courts and not expect some pushback.

To be honest I'm not surprised the rates of violence aren't higher given how many men are affected by child theft and being sold into slavery via alimony/child support.

Honestly, this is one of the reasons this subreddit exists. I'm surprised we haven't seen more of this. This is not endorsed behavior but it isn't unexpected either.

To prevent this in the future the solution is clear: Mandate 50/50 custody without any child support as the default.

If you can't afford a kid without support, then you need to give up some time with the child to work.
