I dont have an issue with the movie makers but i do have an issue with the people who have seen this film. usually when i see a good movie i head over to the imdb boards to check out interpretations and what not. i was surprised to see that a lot of the people on these boards simply did not believe this was rape because he didn't forcefully push her off. I obviously disagreed because he repeatedly said no yet she continued. what do you all think about this scene? was he being raped? is the fact that he didnt use force (although he had the strength as he is beating people in the movie, and easily throws her off at the end) enough to say that he secretly consented but said no because he was embarassed?

now i like that this has made it in (somewhat) mainstream media that it is possible to rape a man and it recieved good awareness. however, i hate that it is being misinterpretted and people are dismissing the alleged rape because of social constructs. it kinda seems counter productive if you ask me.
