Somewhat interesting sidenote: I once was watching a documentary on human evolution, and it was explaining why we find infants to be "cute." It's an evolutionary response to illicit sympathy by other humans, because human females have the highest infanticide & offspring abandonment rates of any primate. Babies have to be cute in order to survive, attracting "new" mothers who will take care of them. Postpartum depression has been around a long, long time.

I think I streamed it from netflix, but I watch a LOT of these types of films. If ayone is interested I'll try my best to dig it up

So many lost links. If I remember correctly, there was once a link posted here of a research study that found that 20% of all SIDS were actually infanticide and that 90% of that 20% was committed by mothers.

I would absolutely murder my wife if I knew (not suspected, but knew 100%) that she smothered my baby. What happened to me after that, I can't imagine caring all that much about. But there is no way I could live on this earth knowing she killed my child so she could go fuck some dude. Holy crap, how does that happen and you just send it in to postsecret?
