Well I could understand the comment as it relates to being an instrument of the consequences of criminal behavior in someone so young with an otherwise promising life. To the prosecutor's credit, that wasn't an excuse to avoid doing the right thing, simply a commentary on how life can suck. Just don't forget that the perpetrator's life will be destroyed because she chose to try to destroy the victim's life.

The prosecutor obvious has warped judgement, and no doubt an obstruction charge alone insufficient to address the severity of her crime. Still, this is better than the all too common standard where the false accuser faces no charges whatsoever.
