What could be causing this?

Some possibilities: Women are less educated in sciences. Women don't read OKCupid match questions as carefully and/or don't put as much effort into dating sites. Geeky/intelligent guys are more inclined to join dating sites than geeky/intelligent girls.

Calm down everyone, I'm pretty sure a lot of people answer it incorrectly to be Ironic.

OkCupid also asks what your ideal mate would answer so some people might be doing it to make sure their mate isnt taking themselve too seriously.
