The grandmother repeats over and over that her daughter is a good person, and puts the blame on her victim. Well when someone picks up a gun and shoots another person with intent to harm or kill, it rules out any claim of being a good person.

And over a simple case of teenage sex... pathetic.

Wow, I'm shocked at how many people are okay that she shot him. If I were his family I'd be pressing charges in a heart beat - she had no right to do such a thing unless he was doing something that was putting her life in imminent danger. I mean seriously, WTF! She should've called the police or something - you don't just shoot someone as a knee jerk reaction. People like this don't need a gun and I hope the woman gets jail time. Lots of it.

Sorrell emphasized that her daughter is not a violent woman and would not have shot anyone unless she was provoked.

So she was provoked even though the article makes no mention of the boy having a weapon or making threats?

Okay now it's the Granddaughters fault.

Amazing how sure people are that they know what happened in this home. There have been no details released concerning what actually happened. Maybe we should wait until we have more information before we defend either the mom or the kid. I live in Algiers and have been listening to news, talk radio and reading articles on the net. No one knows what happened yet.

So the grandmother had a baby when she was 17, so chances are she was having sex at 16 too, and thinks it was inappropriate that her grand-daughter was having sex at 16 too. -.-
