What an utter joke. She could just as well have used him as a patsy. The only thing clear in this case is that she took the money from the bank. The fact that she took it is undisputed so it is theft irrespective of who or what happened otherwise. And if her boyfriend was involved then this is conspiracy to boot ... what an utter miscarriage of justice.

PS: Did anyone else notice that the article said nothing about her having to visit hospital repeatedly for being beaten etc ? I wonder why that is ? Could it be that her defense was solely based on the fact that by feigning victimhood she stands a great deal of a chance of not getting convicted ? As far as her overdrawn account and loans are concerned , those were just a diversion designed not to draw attention to herself.

How, on one hand, can a woman demonstrate to her superiors that she is intelligent and trustworthy enough to take on such a responsible position as a bank manager, while on the other being tormented and bullied from the age of 16 to the point of 'learned helplessness'.

Even if her partner did coerce her with threats of violence, I just do not believe that a woman who is intelligent and capable enough to be trusted to run a bank wouldn't know how to end this problem before it became anywhere near as serious as it did.

The guy obviously belongs in prison, but even if what she claims is true, she shouldn't have been completely exonerated of a crime she quite obviously committed.
