She did at least get a suspended sentence, so at least if she gets in any kind of trouble with the law for the next two years she automatically gets locked up for a year. That doesn't really reflect the seriousness of her actions though.

During university when I moved into a co-ed residence all the new guys were brought to a meeting in one of the lounges. We were told in no uncertain terms that if any of the women in the house made a sexual assault or rape claim, that we were going to get the shit beat out of us and that there would be witnesses to testify that those responsible were elsewhere.

That's for a claim, not even a charge. In some parts of the world you might as well equate a false rape claim with hiring a hitman. What bothers me about the article is that it seems to go on at length about how difficult things are for her, with a very short mention about how the guy has lost his home and can't visit his parents without sneaking in at night. The reason obviously is that there have been death threats from the local meatheads.

I forget the site but it was basically women would put up pictures and a description of the guys to "watch out for" and say stuff like "no good cheater" or something along those lines and you could look up all the people in a certain area like L.A., Miami, or by zip but basically every city in the USA.

Hunh? Of course it is. Any time a woman gets in trouble in his (or another judge's) court, she just has to cry and tell him about how horrible life has been for her. I wonder if the same would work for a man?

I will say the following in the judge's defense, though. He did acknowledge that the man was a victim of her lies, unlike many judges. And it seems that he has made another poor sentencing decision in the past that favored a man. So I think he may be an equal-opportunity poor judge and not strictly biased, and I would need more than just this to say that he is actually biased.

False rape cases are lacking in punishment due to the absence of established justice in this area. They usually end up with something along the lines of 'public mischief' and a fine. Until legislature is created in specific laws against this, I doubt much justice will be given.

The related article linked to toward the bottom stating that 50% of women think that a rape victim who flirts and dances and accepts drinks and dresses provocatively is partly to blame is really interesting. Finally some women get something right.
