The current naming excludes victims who are non binary, as well as trans and cis men, and reinforces gender stereotypes that members of these groups can't be victims of violence and don't need assistance.

The act should be rewritten and renamed something like the Violence Against Intimate Partners Act instead.

Who is interested in working on this? We need to be more politically active, contacting legislators and creating guides to share with other gender egalitarians on how to advance our cause.
