Especially if you have a bunch of men who have similar experiences about growing up and being told that if they act like this they will win and get respect and loyalty from women and of course as we grow up we learned that's not the case and that's part of the problem but that's not my biggest issue
Trying to respect women and having those teachings BB into you really did leave an impression on me and even still when I started growing up and seeing just how many men who disrespected women seem to do better in The Dating Game
From everything I learned growing up these men should not be winning at all but they do and that's something that does make me a little bitter but that's not the only thing
The concept of virginity has always never made sense to me but it has always made me a little angry at other men and women because of it because we all know it's stupid but we all act on it anyway
I do think it's stupid that a woman will reject a guy if he's a virgin especially if these two were on a date or have been dating and they already have kissed and laughed and hung out but his virginity is the one thing that stops him. This guy could have been the coolest dude ever until this girl found out he was a virgin and not only is a hypocritical it makes no damn sense because if she did like him that much to entertain him it shouldn't really be a big deal to take his virginity
And no she doesn't owe him that and she doesn't have to give it to him but if she is so hung up on his virginity did she could literally fix that right there
Female virginity is nowhere near look down upon are used as something to penalize women in the dating game and I hate how it does against men and I'm tired of ignoring it and acting so respectful.
Like straight up I grew up pathologically respecting people first even people who made fun of me because I always figured they were having a bad day or a bad home life if they were so mean
Growing up I had more feminism in me than most of my female peers just because of how much I did enjoy social psychology and it made sense at the time because I was a little boy who was looking out into the world and seen that men and women weren't read it right and we're still being treated like X Y and Z because of their gender
I've had many of my feminist friends and female friends say something that sounds pro-feminist and egalitarian and then 5 seconds later go make fun of a dude because he wasn't strong or look like a wimp or a creep or whatever
Like imagine yourself in a guy shoes and this guy is feminist and is super respectful and decent and he spent this whole night trying to impress this girl and when it comes time to get frisky he mentions that he's a virgin.
In his mind he thought he did the right thing as he was honest and open and he let her know where he stood at with his experience and his mindset but at that point it's all on the girl to decide if she is for that or not and of course she does have the choice to reject him because his virginity but I don't think we should be surprised if you do have guys a little bit jaded over something like that
And I know what you guys are going to say and that not every girl is like that and any girl who would reject you for your virginity is not worth it but did it begs the question why does something like that exist anyway if we are supposed to live in this new world that's supposed to respect each other's sexuality and traits regardless of our race or gender
Like right now straight up I plan on completely ignoring girls and throwing myself into my work and trying again later on but I have been doing that since I was in high school whenever I hit a long streak of rejection and it's no guarantee that it makes you look more attractive and my biggest fear is I'll be close to 30 and still a virgin and some girl wouldn't want to have anything to do with me
Of course that may not happen and I don't know it and I hope not but you can understand why that would make some guys a little resentful or even angry.
Don't get me wrong I still believe in like 80% of what feminists each but I do not go around them anymore nor do I feel like they were ever really on my side anymore
Growing up I really needed something like that and when I got the college and finally got myself around these people I thought they would understand but they just wanted female voices heard and one of the males to just do nothing basically

I do not disagree with anything you've written, u/defo18; I think what you say is right. I just want to point out one distinction that too easily gets lost on Reddit and elsewhere (though I do not accuse you of this error, mind you):
"S has a right to x" ≠ & <=x=> "x is right."
I have a right to be selfish and petty; nonetheless, neither selfishness nor pettiness are right things to be.
So in other words, while the resentment someone feels may well be understandable, nonetheless it will still be a type of moral failing. Inevitable, perhaps, but never salutary.

We live in a world where someone can have their entire life ruined by one tweet by a woman.
Of course men would fear and despise women in a world like that.
It's insane to allow women to have as much power as they do over men and expect them to not resent them.
It's not just that but imagine you're a seventeen year old boy born in a lower income family in the midwest. Your life probably isn't great to begin with but now on top of that you have to deal with being treated as a predator and a criminal everyday of your life while also being aware that your entire future could be destroyed in a milisecond if you make the wrong move around a woman.
That's a fucking nightmare and it's a nightmare a lot of men in this country live with every single day of their lives.
