Women don’t hate their own biology and sex differences....they hate men who exploit them for those differences. That they’re *expected* to tolerate endless abuse, cheating and harassment and never complain - just for being born female.

It’s hardly privilege if you come from a working class background/ unstable family and fought tooth and nail to have financial independence and not become a pick me
Social class can also be earned through hard work or are you discrediting hard working poor women as privileged now?
That is really poor framing of complex issues. This is the problem when liberals frame anyone with a degree or a bit of money as privileged loooool some people worked real hard for that shot. Stop dismissing them as ‘privileged’ - theres things called loans and hard work too.
This idea that anyone who worked hard to gain a footing is privileged...tone deaf. You have no idea how hard they worked to earn that ‘privilege’. And how easy it could be taken away by a pandemic or job loss for example.
That takes a lot of blood, sweat and tears behind the scenes
Not every woman in the west grows up with silver spoons in their mouth drinking Pumpkin spiced lattes - many working class women are single due to constant trauma at the hands of men or their pick me mom. They are tired.
And plenty western working class women get preyed on by violent or abusive men which makes them work 100 x harder to get away. We also have a growing pedophile problem behind closed doors.
I feel like when some Eastern women talk about Western women being privileged they’re only talking about white wealthy women. The girls who grow up drinking out of Starbucks cups and live in the suburbs. Forgetting we have homeless and poor women here.
I do not agree it’s a privilege to be single when most women are choosing single because of the hostile conditions men created. Or the horrific childhood they had.
Some poor women are also single- is that privilege too? Are single mothers privileged bc they work their ass off to get by? See the problem with that framing?
That’s just tone deaf to how misogyny informs and shapes our choices/experiences.
Women have a limit to what they will take.
Realistically most women don’t want to be single - it’s an act of self preservation against men’s constant hostility. Not an act of sheer privilege and joy. Some do it to protect their kids for example.
You can’t call a defensive action in the face of hostility privilege. Especially if the woman doesn’t come from money.
As a single woman I am still harassed by men in public and the work place. I have still been assaulted whilst single. I still get pick mes trying to pimp me out or put me in danger.
Misogyny doesn’t cease to exist around me because I’m choosing to be single. It doesn’t go away. And it still affects me through my relations with people.
So saying I’m privileged due to choosing to be single in the face of worsening misogyny is simply bizarre. What is influencing my decision outside my control?
If a man cheats and I am forced to become single due to his constant abuse that won’t stop- how is that privilege exactly? Because I chose not to rely on him financially? Because I worked super hard to avoid that position?
That’s context ignorant framing. Men’s behaviour has forced women into being single so they can catch breath from endless BS.
It’s driven by exhaustion, not privilege - stop misusing the term. Not all women inherit money from wealthy parents - some work very hard for it & could easily lose that ‘privilege’ through job insecurity.
It would only be a privilege if men were decent people and we chose to be separated because we prefer being alone
