What traits?

Well this is not a new piece of knowledge. It is what has been in our DNA throughout the evolution.

Namely:

• Protector

• Provider

• Leader

Note:
Just like user fereallyRed says, SMV is a combination of good looks, good frame and good game, similarly, being strong physically, being capable of providing resources to oneself and tribe members and also leading the tribe members to something good or worthy are the fundamental qualities of a man. These are the purest form of masculine traits. Thus, they are all needed in order be a man.
“Just having a dick doesn’t make one a man, you need balls too, brass balls.”
Leveraging the qualities you have, to attract a partner is game. Some may have less leadership qualities but may have a great physique. But nothing can be a complete substitute for the another.

In this article I shall discuss about these traits without using words like Alpha, Beta, Goku or Vegeta.
So, let’s begin.

• Protector:
  We men are evolutionarily protector of our tribes. This is the quality that identifies men as strong being.
  So, if you don’t lift and are a blob of mass or a stick then you cannot be considered as a practically capable protector.
  A woman likes a guy who can protect her or can make her feel safe.
  This is hardwired in their brains. Here, “safe” means physically safe from physical dangers.
  A woman will touch and feel the muscles of her man and say, “Wow, you’re strong!”.
  You want that not for her sake, but for your own sake.

This is about physical protection. But if a guy is overprotective to his girl, he would be like a father to the girl more than her man. Now, this matter is out of scope of this post.

• Provider:
  This is the quality of having resources and providing resources to other members of a tribe.
  You need to at least be capable of surviving on yourself. Focusing on earning money and getting your own house and own car is an example of having resources. This indeed contributes to your masculine character. A masculine father won’t give his daughter to a man who cannot provide food, clothes, shelter to his daughter. This is usually the primary basis for most arranged marriages. If you have too many resources, it is not a bad thing.

But if you only want to be successful in this department and think this will get you girls, then you are not wrong, but this will be only reason for a woman to like you and stay with you which is bad. Now, this matter is out of scope of this post.

• Leader:
  Leader doesn’t always mean the King or the head of the tribe or CEO of a firm. We men display leadership characteristics all the time is very subtle manner. It’s also an evolutionary trait, thus it is hardwired in our sub-conscious just like previous mentioned traits.
  Leading a conversation with a woman is good thing and it is attractive to the woman as it is hardwired in her brain to like this evolutionary trait of her opposite gender. Its not magic, it’s because women and men both are the products of thousands of years of evolutions during which these traits developed and fostered and ultimately became the defining characteristics of a man.

Men lead, women follow. If you don’t have any ideas where to take a woman on a date, then you are lacking leadership quality. If you know how to perform deadlift in correct form and somebody is doing it incorrectly, your brain likes to correct him/her. You may ignore that person and carry on. But the slight thought in your mind to correct him/her is your evolutionary brain telling you to lead.
This of course is a very simple example of leadership quality.

If you control your woman on every step for what she should do, eat, what to wear, where to sleep, etc. then that is too much controlling. Now, this matter is out of scope of this post.

Thus, masculinity is more biologically influenced than you might have imagined.

As the legend Patrice O’Neal has suggested many times that “your woman should be little insecure all the time, not too much insecure, just a little to keep her in check.” You should project these qualities in appropriate amount.
Too much control is called mate guarding which is bad and is a waste of time.
Too much providing will attract gold diggers which is bad.
Too much security will give her comfort and thus you will go against what Patrice O’Neal has said. This is also bad.

You may ask, “OP, you said to leverage your traits, what if I am dark triad guy, I still get girls.”
Yes, I was too dark of a man too. Its only for short term pleasure.

“Every activity performed by a man should contribute to his healthy mind.”
Being dark is a state of unhealthy mind which is bad. Very very bad.

Imbalance creates unhealthy mind:

Serotonin, Dopamine, Endorphins, Adrenaline, Oxytocin, Testosterone. These are the major neurotransmitters and hormones that are required in your body in a balanced amount. I have made a whole post about them, go read that after this.

If you fap to porn daily and don’t lift, then there is of course clear imbalance in your body. Thus, an unhealthy body contributes to unhealthy mind.
If you lift and meditate daily, then your hormones are in much more balanced amount. Thus, a healthy body contributes to healthy mind.

Again, this is not new piece of knowledge. This is science and you need to be faithful to science and your whole life would be great.
I believe a person, no matter how fucked up he is can change his life completely given the time and dedication for 5-10 years.
