Casual sex in an age when protection didn't exist produced pregnancies and the transmission of STIs. Nobody should have slept around under those circumstances, but men were the ones with the economic power so they could call the shots and establish any standard they wanted. Men also had the possibility of denying fatherhood and walking away from the women they impregnated as the effects of sex weren't visible for them.

Even though pregnancy and STIs can be prevented, the stigma around sex hasn't waned and the idea that sex demeans women but not men persists, even among women themselves. This makes many men feel entitled to decency in women without living to those same standards themselves.

There's also the projections factor. Many promiscuous men have a problematic view of relationships and sex. They're afraid to date their female equivalents because they don't want women to treat them the same way they treat women.

Lol, a bit late to the party, but plenty of evidence shows that people don't like high N count people nor low N count people like "virgins" as in comparison to people with "in between" numbers. And this is valid for both men and women, because high N count men are also seen as "yucky". Also, famous evolutionary psychology star David Buss conducted a study showing that in many places of the wester world, people prefer partners with at least 5 partners on average. Only people who din't were the ones in arabic and eastern asian countries. Which is telling for the cultural aspect of judging N count in other people.

That'll be hard to debate, because it's basically up to you. It think overall it's pretty solid not to pick someone who's been known to sleep around.

Our male ancestors probably had sex with lots of women while hypocritically selecting a virgin woman for LTR, since such a sociopathic strategy maximizes the number of offspring (genes) for the male. However if every male tries to implement this strategy today they will run out of low count women for LTR. So trying to spread such an ideology is self-defeating.

Edit: it’s like western men want to eat their cake (sex with lots of women) and keep their cake (virgin woman for LTR). They can’t have it both ways

I fail to see how body count has anything to do with somebody's value as a person.

Are we valuing them for their bodies? Does sleeping with multiple people damage our bodies?

Why aren't we valuing people for what they do with their lives? How they treat other people, how they treat animals, if they work hard, if they accomplish something good? And how exactly does sleeping around make someone lose value as a person?

RedPill needs to be renamed as "incel hypocrites". They're whole shtick is to try and denegrate the women they can't get, and include ALL women in their outrageous generalizations. In my opinion, people (male and female) who try to demonize monogamy, are extremely jaded individuals, that no normal person should waste their time on. A guy that's screwed thousands of women, isn't going to value me. By the same token, a woman who has screwed thousands of dudes, isn't going to ever trust or value, a good man. These people are toxic, and I wish everyone would stop tuning into their propaganda.

The reason why humans are such a successful species is because we are so flexible and adapt a million different strategies to satisfy our base biological drives. That's why no one can figure this bullshit out definitively - there is no one single answer to any of these questions and there never will be. There is no one true human diet and there is no one true human mating strategy. We will do whatever we need to do to survive, that might mean gang bangs with the entire tribe every month or being extremely selective over a lifetime. It totally depends on the environment and conditions of the humans.
