If sleeping with your boss is a way to get ahead in your career, and top positions are occupied mostly by men, why are less women promoted into senior roles?

Hi men, I'm sorry if this is too personal a question, but it's confusing for me and I can only guess at the answer. I tried asking in /askMen but some mod kept removing the thread.

I was thinking even with a male candidate, you would still be able to build a bond of trust sexually by sharing partners, or videos of them, instead of the candidate being the partner themselves,

but if male and female are more or less equal in that way then why are women being promoted less?
