I’m single (35F) and work out at a pretty intense small lifting gym. This guy joined last year, Bob (39F). He would comment to me here and there, little jokes but we didn’t have a full convo until Feb..a few weeks after I became single. He assumed I was younger, and joked about how “old” I am...despite him being and looking much older. Anyway, he began heavily flirting and I would just not acknowledge his hints of wanting to take me out. I don’t want to make the setting uncomfortable for me bc I love my gym, and men react poorly sometimes...I was pre FDS too.

Anyway, now his comments have gone too far. He has commented on my body many times..supposedly complimentary but not in a cool way. He comments on my growing glutes, said I would carry extra weight well, etc.. I have said he can’t comment on my body, but def not sternly enough. The other day he called me “grandma”. Today some male passerby’s were watching me work out outside and while I opted to block out their discussion bc I knew it was about my body, Bob came over to tell me about my “fan club” but said he isn’t sure why I have fans because he would think “she looks like a giraffe.” I am tall and slim, and not to be arrogant but people say I look like a fitness model. I think its quite rude to compare me to animal! I ignored him and when he approached me later, I said it’s not cool and asked him not to speak to me. He said I’m delusional..he thinks its okay to insult my looks because I am considered attractive/fit. Honestly it has been YEARS since I have been insulted on my appearance in a childish way that it kind of set me back..I’m pretty secure and I understand Bob’s purpose was to make me feel bad. But it sucks, idk.

Anyway, any tips on how to interact with Bob from here on out? Also, I sense that another guy that I think is cute may be feeling me..he is friendly with Bob, should I avoid trying to interact with him?
