I (21F) used to be friends with this girl (20F) who honestly seems obsessed with me. I pretty much had distanced myself from her for a while because she isn’t someone I wanted to be friends with and she is also crazy.

She messaged my ex boyfriend (21M) who I still love and we broke up due to external factors, but she told him that I cheated on him and fucked lots of guys. He doesn’t know she’s crazy and doesn’t know her at all, because I didn’t really talk about her while I was him. Now he thinks that I was unfaithful to him because he thinks it’s suspicious someone would make that up (since he doesn’t know her).

But she did make it up and I think this is her way of getting revenge for me not being as close to her anymore because she also used to be friends with one of my close friends and she fucked the guy she liked purely because the girl didn’t message her to hang out enough.

I don’t know what to do I feel really distressed. I want to “prove” myself but I feel like in turn that’s just going to make me seem guilty and if I message her I’m just going to be giving her the attention she’s after.
