"Students who [...] do not fit into the biological gender identity" πŸ€”

"students who have been bullied and or abused should be allowed in a bathroom without bullies."

How do they keep the bullies out? πŸ™„

[+]no_user_ID_found13 points 4 years ago* [recovered] (1 child) | Copy Link

They should make special bathrooms for bullies.

[–]Rol9x 7 points8 points9 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It seems like they already have them, as they are so certain that bullies do not go into gender neutral bathrooms.

[–]ChadWolf98 8 points9 points10 points 4 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link

>> biological gender identity

They say sex =/= gender. So there is no biological gender, as it is a social construct according to them

[–]_italian_dude_ 8 points9 points10 points 4 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

Sex and genders are only two. Male and Female. Then there are 3 sexual orientations. Heterosexual, homosexual and bisexual.

[–]ChadWolf98 5 points6 points7 points 4 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

Ooh uhh sweaty I am gonna quote this comment if you ever become a public figure. Maybe try not to be a bigot next time? /s

[–]Ender01o 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

yeah-

[–]Ender01o 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

wait, what did they do wrong again?

it seems like they did something wrong, but, at the same time, it doesn't look like they said anything wrong

[–]ChadWolf98 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Its a joke

[–]Ender01o 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

oh, lol

[–]drunkbeaver 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Well yes. I believe the idea is "sexual identity", which is the term that should be used instead of "gender". Gender is male and female, identity can be a transgender for example, but that doesn't override or negate the gender. Neo-Marxists far left are deliberately trying to merge the two terms

[–]theInfiniteHammer 2 points3 points4 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

No, sex and gender are two different things, but gender isn't entirely a social construct. Male and female brains are different. That's what gender refers to. Sex refers to what the rest of the body has.

[–]dukunt 12 points13 points14 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

They'll reopen them as women's bathrooms. Fuck men.

/S

[–]worldadvisor 14 points15 points16 points 4 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Bravo to the closed bathrooms. Will be calling the phone numbers to congratulate them on this great decision. Way to go R.I. Everyone can expect this for the entire state of Virginia! LOL

[–]ckirk91 4 points5 points6 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Yeah, I don’t think any grown adult should be wasting their time pestering high schools. In either support or objection of this.

[–]worldadvisor 8 points9 points10 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

One of many parents who completely disagree with you on so many levels. We made our point in Virginia either by voting or by out-of-staters making donations. Good evening.

[–]Cormandragon 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I'm guessing you mean any grown adult whose child isn't currently attending said school?

[–]intactUS_throwaway 7 points8 points9 points 4 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

How is this a men's issue?

[–]In_Distress143[S] 6 points7 points8 points 4 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

This issue is for the protection of all ! But boy's in school has the biggest fear of bullying and physical abuse. We all need to watch out for each other

[–]Ender01o 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

also, someone who's trans mtf, is seen as a boy and from the surface it looks like a boy being bullied for wanting to be a girl

so, basically bullying them for their birth gender

and, for ftm, well, they're bullied for wanting to become male

so- yeah

honestly, it just seems like all trans hate stems from sexism from men

like, if both male and female genders had perfect equality, and, had the same value, changing your gender should not make others threat you differently, you should be treated the same as birth genders are equal, the only difference would be that you're referred to with your preferred pronouns.

so, until sexism against males is eradicated, trans discriminations will always be around, but, since trans is part of lgbtq, hopefully they'll realize to get rid of transphobism, they first have to end male sexism, and, finally, the things said on this sub will get recognized, and, things will finally change for the better.. I hope..

[–]GrinningPizza 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

So, your point is that all these problems are caused entirely by men, therefor they shouldn’t be fixed?

[–]Ender01o 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

what, no, I meant all of these problems were caused by people hating on men 0.0

[–]GrinningPizza 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Oh I see thank you

[–]Ender01o 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

sorry for the confusion

[–]SuperJack1415 5 points6 points7 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Honestly bathrooms are separated because of biology, plan and simple. Male bathrooms have urinals to help speed the process up and females have more stalls because they take longer and need to do other things.

[–]Bowlnk 4 points5 points6 points 4 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link

I have used female bathrooms in public buildings before when biology really couldn't wait (the shits). Then again public bathrooms here are closed rooms with full doors no gaps.

[–]SgtRinzler 2 points3 points4 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Yeah I don't see there being an issue with an optional gender neutral bathroom with like one toilet and a sink. This is dumb.

[–]Welder1919 2 points3 points4 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

My high school had men's restrooms and female restrooms.

And right across from both of them were family restrooms with baby changing stations

[+]EnvironmentalWar4627 -8 points-7 points-6 points 4 years ago (19 children) | Copy Link

Why are people supporting closing gender neutral bathrooms? Everyone should have access to a bathroom they feel comfortable and safe in. There's no reason to support closing bathrooms other than just being bigoted towards trans people.

[–]Gullible-Initiative2 10 points11 points12 points 4 years ago (17 children) | Copy Link

After the double rape from that trans guy, can you blame them?

[–]frustr8tion 2 points3 points4 points 4 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link

After the double rape from that trans guy, can you blame them?

Isn't profiling men as rapists over the actions of a few the opposite of what we're trying to achieve here?

[–]reddut_gang -1 points0 points1 point 4 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

Yes. Are you?

[–]frustr8tion 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

Am I what?

[–]reddut_gang -1 points0 points1 point 4 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

trying to achieve the above? I've never seen you say or do anything on this sub before this.

[–]frustr8tion 2 points3 points4 points 4 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

I've been on this sub for a couple of years at least and I'm active in the discord server too.

I've never seen you here, why the paranoia?

I am curious as to why there are upvotes on a comment saying "After the rape from that trans guy can you blame them?"

So one guy rapes people and people are advocating for segregation... Why? That doesn't make sense to me.

[–]reddut_gang 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

I'm paranoid because I see a lot of people acting like they've always been an MRA and yet suspiciously, a comment calling out the movement is their first one. I'd respect a comment like that a lot more if it was someone who actually fought for men's rights or raised awareness for it saying it. But 90% of the time it's some feminist shill.

I am curious as to why there are upvotes on a comment saying "After the rape from that trans guy can you blame them?"

There are a lot of conservatives on this sub. That's what happens when the media makes out women's rights and men's rights to be two opposite things on opposite political spectrum. Doesn't help that it's only conservative media that stands up for us. I can't blame anyone but CNN for CNN not being pro-men's rights.

[–]frustr8tion 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

a comment calling out the movement is their first one

It isn't my first comment. I've been active here longer than your account has existed.

I was calling out transphobia and sexism. Transphobia and sexism aren't part of the movement.

[–]reddut_gang 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

An exception isn't the rule.

Also I agree, it's transphobia, but not sexism.

That said, I'm not surprised there is transphobia, because like I said, it is mostly conservative media that stands up for men's rights, and conservative media tends to be transphobic. For this to change, progressive media needs to start standing up for men's rights instead of antagonizing it.

[–]manicraccoon 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Which trans guy?

[–]Gullible-Initiative2 8 points9 points10 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It was in the news two weeks ago. A high school student was raped by a trans man. Only to have it ignored and happen again when he was transferred.

[–]EnvironmentalWar4627 3 points4 points5 points 4 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

Wow. Gender neutral bathrooms do not lead to rapes. The transphobia here is horrifying.

[–]FatJesus15 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

Nobody said that it did. The individual you are referring to was only using a past transgression that was somewhat relevant to the topic at hand to make a statement as to why closing said bathrooms may not have been the worst idea. The fact that you took it and skewed it to fit some pathetic narrative you have built in your head is frankly, quite sad. Try to not cherry pick information and then get all outraged over it, to put it simply, try being less ignorant.

[–]frustr8tion 2 points3 points4 points 4 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

The individual you are referring to was only using a past transgression that was somewhat relevant to the topic at hand to make a statement as to why closing said bathrooms may not have been the worst idea.

Imagine defending the proposed night time curfews against men's and saying that except referring to the actions of one man as a past transgression of men in general and calling it sad and pathetic to point out it's sexist to judge all men like that.

Try being less ignorant yourself.

[–]FatJesus15 -1 points0 points1 point 4 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

I'm sorry, I don't mean to be rude or anything like that, but nothing you have said makes much sense. You use no punctuation and if I had to guess I would say that English isn't your first language. Who said anything about cerfews? I'm not sure what exactly you are upset about here, do you believe I claimed all men rape? Did you think I was saying something negative about trans people? I'm genuinely confused here. If you could clarify what your issues are, I would gladly discuss them with you

[–]frustr8tion 2 points3 points4 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Are you really unable to analogise from one issue that restricts people based on a phobia to another?

I would say that English isn't your first language. Who said anything about cerfews?

*Curfews. The irony is strong.

do you believe I claimed all men rape?

I believe you defended the statement "can you blame them". Would you also defend that "can you blame them" statement for the women who wish to impose curfews on men because of rape statistics or high profile cases in media?

[–]FatJesus15 -1 points0 points1 point 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

You assume the statement was phobic in nature. Do you know this person? Have you spoken with them and determined that? Maybe this person has a problem with rape and unfortunately equates the bathrooms with such a vile act. You shouldn't push your personal insecurities onto other people, if you assume everybody is transphobic, then unfortunately you will run into more of them, because you assume everybody is.

I fully support the idea that everybody should have safe bathrooms. If the numbers show that a certain place is dangerous or threatening in any way, I fully believe it should be taken care of and if it happens to be such places.... Well then I think I made myself perfectly clear already.

The fact that you picked out a spelling mistake is honestly petty. When I said that I thought you didn't speak English as a first language, I didn't intend for it to sound rude. I genuinely meant it because of your lack of punctuation and honestly, the lack of any real point. You seem to be an individual who is filled with rage, I'm sorry you are so angry at the world. I genuinely hope you find peace in your life. Live well

[–]frustr8tion 2 points3 points4 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

You assume the statement was phobic in nature

It's very apparent from the context.

if you assume everybody is transphobic

I don't. I call out transphobia when I see it. That's just a tactic to try to silence me on this one occasion by insinuating it is a pervasive pattern and plays on tropes of triggered LGBT SJWs.

The fact that you picked out a spelling mistake is honestly petty.

Glass house, stones.

the lack of any real point

You're the one avoiding the point. Your lack of comprehension and reason is the issue here.

If the numbers show that a certain place is dangerous or threatening in any way, I fully believe it should be taken care of and if it happens to be such places

Yet this individual was taking about a single event. I refer again to my analogy of curfews upon men. Should the numbers showing majority of violent crime being committed by men lead to men being confined to their homes during the evening? Should they be "taken care of"?.

seem to be an individual who is filled with rage, I'm sorry you are so angry at the world.

I've called out obvious transphobia and you think that makes me angry at the world? Make up whatever narrative you need to virtue signal to yourself and others but you're very transparent.

[–]neveragoodtime 9 points10 points11 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Based on percentages, there is less than one trans person at this high school. Based on it being a high school, they are all teenagers and no one is legally allowed to medically transition to the opposite sex. Based on them being teenagers, they will only use it for straight up heterosexual sex, blow jobs, and sexual harassment. This high school just saved itself millions in lawsuits and prevented countless teenage pregnancies.

[–]manicraccoon -4 points-3 points-2 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

That sucks

[–]In_Distress143[S] 3 points4 points5 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Absolutely and now children suffer again after spending all that money to protect them πŸ˜“

[–]Ausarius -2 points-1 points0 points 4 years ago (10 children) | Copy Link

Seems like a kid just learned how to create a wordpress website and decided to troll their school.

Try learning html, css, and javascript next. It’ll be better for your future than doing this.

I would suggest you take this website down, for your own school life.

[–]In_Distress143[S] 4 points5 points6 points 4 years ago* (7 children) | Copy Link

Unfortunately your wrong Ausarius. Standing up for what's right is what is going on. I am a parent of an abused child at school by bullies. This kind of protection give students a chance to use a bathroom in peace without fear of harm.

[–]MrCornTortilla 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

In all sincerity, how would a gender neutral bathroom keep bullies at bay? Gender neutral means bullies can go into whatever bathrooms they want too. I’m all for people using the bathroom that they feel comfortable using, but I don’t think this will help the bullies, or anything really. Does this RI high school not have unisex bathrooms like most high schools have? Why not just use that?

[–]In_Distress143[S] 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

They closed the gender neutral bathrooms because 2 students were having sex in the men's bathroom. Nothing to do with gender neutral bathrooms !

[–]MrCornTortilla 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Hmm. That doesn’t exactly answer my question. I’m still not sure how having gender neutral bathrooms would keep bullies at bay, like you seem to imply. Having the bathroom open to anyone means that it will also invite bullies, because anyone can use them. Also, it seems that we’re missing a lot of needed context here. I think it would narrow minded to suggest that the reason it was closed (two students having sex in it) has nothing to do with the bathrooms being gender neutral. Gender neutral bathrooms are a very new thing to American culture. Who would anyone be to say that it has nothing to do with it or there’s no chance nothing would happen? Anything could happen, good or bad. That said, is there any more context to this story you can provide us?

[–]In_Distress143[S] 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I will gladly provide more updates as soon as there available. The problem is I / we believe there is much more in this story being covered up. On the other hand East Providence RI is a very corrupt city and anti everything especially LGBTQ ! I am not saying that is the case but something else is definitely going on.

[–]Ender01o 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

wait what, that makes no sense, close the men's bathroom then

[–]In_Distress143[S] 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Exactly what we are all saying !

[–]Ender01o 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Ikr :/

the men's bathroom got closed in my school due to vandalism, they didn't close some other bathroom, they closed the men's one

It delivers content without a single advertisement, no malicious links, no popup adds, no notifications, no paywall, just easily readable text... this is what the internet was supposed to be

[–]Cormandragon 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Just a waste of money paying their monthly bill when an afternoon is all you'd need to figure out how to do the same thing in bootstrap.

Right cause we all know this worked out so well the last time we tried to allow men and women in the same bathrooms/s
