I have a personal story like this. It was around 20-25 years ago, I must have been in 7th standard. Our school was big on volleyball for the girls and soccer for the boys. Our women's team continuously used to win state ane region level championships. After one such win, and a very deserved hero's return, me and 2 of my classmates just casually challenged them to a game. Mind you we were in 7th or 8th and were not tall enough to even properly spike. We did had a strong serve though. So, what transpires next is that the invincible girls volleyball team consisting of students from 11th and 12th standard, loses badly to 3 barely teen guys from 7th standard!

To be fair, we should not be comparing men and women in areas that take physical strength and agility into consideration. This is the same argument that trans women who were biological males during puberty should not compete as women.

As far as earnings go, everyone should earn in proportion of revenue they are generating.

The US Women's Soccer team is a special kind of stupid. They rallied to get the same pay scale as the men's team, and got it - which ended up in them getting paid LESS than they were before.

The women's soccer team 4 years ago was given this same option, and they turned it down because THEY knew they'd be taking a pay cut as a result.

In HS, the girls varsity team always won their division and they thought they were hot shit. I was on the JV boys team and we lost A LOT. We scrimmaged with the varsity girls team and destroyed them. We weren't even allowed to challenge them if they were close to a free ball, we were told to just let them have it and they still lost. They weren't so smug after that.

Frankly, I'm glad we have some of the best soccer players on earth in the US, but they've become so woke and fragile about their athletic abilities compared to their male counterparts, it's totally distracted from their success on the field, and make them laughing stocks off the field. Stop trying to play like and with the men, and go back to winning golds for your country.

Well there is a reason all these transgender in sports rules are there to protect women's sports, but you don't see men complaining about needing protection from transgenders competing with them.

when i was in grade 9 i was on my high schools floor hockey team. think we had 14 people on our team. we played against the rest of our class of 30 AND we weren't allowed to change lines more than once a period (hour long class so 20 min periods each)

we destroyed them. it was something like 25-0 for us. even the guys against us had little chance because we had practiced together almost every morning with drills, scrims, etc.

the girls had even less chance because they couldn't match our speed, superior reach and hand eye coordination. we had to somewhat try against the guys playing against us. not so against the girls.

It definitely sucks at the professional level. But shit. I used to watch my sisters travel team play (Highschool) and at least two brawls broke out in the 5 or so games I watched. Pretty fucking entertaining.

You obviously have no kids who play club soccer. Most of the coaches of the good teams are current or former pro players. My kids' coaches (unless they were really old - meaning ancient like over 40) always did this stuff - particularly with the older guy teams. It was a way to get older kids to listen to them. They wouldn’t do it often, but every now and then to make a point that they are worth listening too.

And, to get your A license you actually do need to be able to play a bit. The top coaches at the competitive clubs will have their A licenses.
