No.mention of how the dad is feeling about all this

How could you suggest this. There are TWO female victims here that feel just TERRIBLE. They are the primary victims end sarcasm.

[–]Abstract_Knight 71 points72 points73 points 4 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

For the ones that didn't understood why this goes on mensrights, just imagine these women being men and what usually happens.

[–]RandylVlarsh 23 points24 points25 points 4 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

I read the article, and was bummed I missed the verdict, I'm guessing I just missed it somehow. What happened to these women?

[–]Brian-Goldwin 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Taking a guess, 20 years each. The courts will be too soft ( As they always are ) and they'll probably get released early too, because they said they're sorry.

In other news, man sentenced to life for looking at women without her consent.

[–]RandylVlarsh -2 points-1 points0 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

I was looking for the facts, not your opinions.

[–]StreetFile7041 5 points6 points7 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

They are currently on trial, they haven't yet been found guilty so there hasn't been any sentencing.

This took place in Britain so it's very unlikely they'll get life without parole no matter whether they were a man or a woman

[–]RandylVlarsh 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Thank you. Hopefully the justice system isn't lenient. This was an atrocity.

[–]JohnKimble111[S] 113 points114 points115 points 4 years ago* (21 children) | Copy Link

Domestic violence is of course highest in lesbian relationships. And yet at the same time, radical feminists always argued that the best way to avoid violence was to refuse to have relationships with men and engage in political lesbianism.

[–]FlaccidArrow 20 points21 points22 points 4 years ago (12 children) | Copy Link

Do you have sources for lesbians having the highest amount of domestic violence?

[–]gonewildman5 56 points57 points58 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Idk about highest, but some studies indicate its more prevalent among them https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=https://www.bbc.com/news/magazine-29994648.amp&ved=2ahUKEwj8s8-_59nzAhUSm2oFHWPcADEQFnoECAMQAQ&usg=AOvVaw2b0oUmRcmvnTqVW8UR-dqw&ampcf=1 https://www.smithsonianmag.com/smart-news/if-youre-not-stragiht-youre-at-higher-risk-for-domestic-violence-180949988/

[+]StreetFile7041 -10 points-9 points-8 points 4 years ago (10 children) | Copy Link

There aren't any sources because it's not true, just people taking statistics out of context.

The CDC reported that 43.8% of lesbians had experienced violence from an intimate partner, but this includes in both straight and gay relationships. Only 67% of the perpetrators were actually female, meaning only 29.3% of lesbians experienced domestic violence from a women. This is actually lower than the amount of straight women who have experienced intimate partner violence (35%).

The most abusive relationship are straight ones, for both women and men

[–]LW_YT 5 points6 points7 points 4 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link

"Only 67%", literally 67% of perpetrators are women

[+]StreetFile7041 -7 points-6 points-5 points 4 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

'Only' in the sense that the first figure assumes 100% of the reported perpetrators, when the actual figure is less. Don't take it out of context.

[–]LW_YT 5 points6 points7 points 4 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

"Only" makes people assume that it's a small thing, more than 50% is not small.

example:

only 15% of people like coffee over 10.000 subjects

60% of people prefer milk (idk random numbers)

[–]StreetFile7041 -4 points-3 points-2 points 4 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

But it can also be used it a different context

Studies previously showed that 90% of people liked coffee, but now it seems the figure has dropped to only 70%

70% is still higher that 50%, but the only here is implying to the decrease in value rather than the size of the number.

[–]LW_YT 5 points6 points7 points 4 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

because it was intended for an higher number earlier, I didn't see any mention of the number "dropping" in those statistics about most perpetrators

[–]StreetFile7041 -1 points0 points1 point 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

reported that 43.8% of lesbians had experienced violence from an intimate partner (i.e both male and female perpetrators, 100% of the total), but this includes in both straight and gay relationships. Only 67% of the perpetrators were actually female (as opposed to the 100% of total perpetrators from earlier being female - this is less than 100%) meaning only 29.3% of lesbians experienced domestic violence from a women.

It's not explicitly stated, but pretty clearly implied from the 'this includes both straight and gay relationships'. Is it clear enough for you now?

I'm not entirely sure why you are nitpicking this one word choice to this degree, it's not exactly the most relevant part of the overall comment.

[–]LW_YT 3 points4 points5 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

so it's "only" 67% and only 29.3%? how?

[–]Mavgrim -1 points0 points1 point 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Fair. Nevertheless the topic loses track and is thrown under the rug when feminist are asked to discuss the issue.

[–]StreetFile7041 -1 points0 points1 point 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I feel the topic loses track more when this sub happily bands round misinformation, but I'm not looking for any arguments about mensrights vs feminism.

I think both sides get lost in fighting 'against the opposite gender and spend more time trying to prove who is most often the perpetrator rather than actually helping victims of either gender who have suffered at the hand of either gender.

[–]OddballLouLou 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

The feminazis are the ones that make feminists like me look like idiots. Because everyone lumps all feminists together. I’m a feminist for woman’s rights, but that also means equality. Equality isn’t just in pay at the workplace, and chances to get the same types of jobs men get that women are qualified for. Equality is also in punishment. A man can get the death sentence for a disgusting crime, where a woman gets a life sentence, or not even that! They can get 25, with parole possible at 10 or whatever. It isn’t right. Equal means equal. So many people were trying to stop the execution of that woman that was recently carried out. Why? Because she’s female? She murdered another woman and carved her child out of her body. That bitch got the exact sentence they she deserved. These women deserve the same. But their lawyers will sway it so they avoid that. Their lawyers will make them sound like victims.

[–]RnRsbg -1 points0 points1 point 4 years ago* (4 children) | Copy Link

You just made my eyes roll so hard that they disconnected from my optical nerves. For future reference, don’t lead off with how you’re a feminist and not all feminists are… blah blah blah.

[–]OddballLouLou 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

So women can’t have opinions to you, or feminists can’t have opinions on things. There is a major difference in the feminists and these feminazis. Feminazis seem to hate all men like they’re the devil. They think women should be let off easy for things where men shouldn’t. Feminism is about equality, not hating men.

[–]OddballLouLou -1 points0 points1 point 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Wow I guess even Reddit is like Facebook now. No one can say what they think without assholes like you being sucks about it 🖕

[–]RnRsbg -1 points0 points1 point 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Maybe start up your useless opinion with “I’m a vegan” next time. It should carry the same impact.

[–]OddballLouLou 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

There’s something wrong with you if you think veganism and feminisim is the same “useless” opinion. Have a nice day.

[–]DirtyPartyMan 35 points36 points37 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I don’t often push for death sentences. This is one of those exceptions

[–]OddballLouLou 8 points9 points10 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Too many women get off with life in prison when they should be getting the death sentence. The court system is so biased for women it is insane.

[–]MBV-09-C 11 points12 points13 points 4 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

I'm actually torn on what pisses me off more about cases like this tbh: the fact that if a man had done the exact same crime, he'd get a harsher sentence than a woman, or the fact killing an infant is SOMEHOW considered a lesser crime than killing an adult, and typically gets a lighter sentence.

[–]OddballLouLou 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

I don’t even understand how killing a child is a lesser crime than an adult. A child cannot defend itself, where an adult can. I have never understood that either, it should be the harshest punishment for killing a child.

[+]SuperRedditor1322 points 4 years ago [recovered] (1 child) | Copy Link

i personally don't think that any of them should be considered lesser just because one can defend themself, murder is murder

[–]OddballLouLou 2 points3 points4 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

True. Sometimes there are different circumstances with adults tho. Sometimes you end up killing someone that was trying to kill you, things like that.

[–]idontneedausername89 -1 points0 points1 point 4 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link

Uh... No, statistically men commit more crime than women. It's the reason women are so underrepresented in stats like armed robbery, mass shootings, gang crime, drug crime, officer involved shootings and so on.

Women commit more crimes, but they are not recorded and the caught ones get much less penalties than men.

Nothing to do with mens rights. But if you're goal is to make people think less of women by posting stories of women doing bad things, this will help.

[–]JohnKimble111[S] 40 points41 points42 points 4 years ago (9 children) | Copy Link

The lack of concern or involvement regarding the father is of relevance here for a start.

[–]dumwitxh 27 points28 points29 points 4 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Don't bother, that's a troll

[–]JohnKimble111[S] 15 points16 points17 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

I think it’s useful to have opposing voices who hold us to account and want to know the relevance of a story to a sub when it’s maybe not crystal clear from the headline.

[–]dumwitxh 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I see people commenting in most of the thread about "what this has to do with mens rights", but I think that if people upvote and comment, then it means that it is a repevant topic

Quantity of engagement isn't indicative of whether or not the topic is relevant, just that a lot of people feel strongly about it.

[–]Broadside_Beers 15 points16 points17 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Ah, yes, so here to troll.

The highest rates of child abuse being committed by mothers, and higher still in lesbian relationships.

The media and the efforts of journalists pointedly not caring about the father and how this has affected him.

The media and VAWA and other feminist organisations pushing the narrative that men are the violent ones.

Feminism and family court being biased against fathers, deeming fathers disposable and not a necessary part of a child’s life and upbringing.

Society, especially the US and oft the UK blaming a lot of social problems and poorly calibrated young men on fatherlessness.

But go off I guess. Troll.

[–]rabel111 6 points7 points8 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Radical feminists push a sexist agenda that states violence against women and their children is always gendered; i.e. male violence perpetrated against women and children. This ignores the multitude of studies that show children are more likely to be the victims of women's violence, and that women are just as likely to be violent in relationships as men.

This article is relevant to men's rights because it shows the callous indifference of these women to the life of a vulnerable one year old child, exploding the feminist "mother goddess" myth of the nurturing female identity. This is unrefutable evidence that women can and do commit horrendous crimes of violence, and that when this female violence is directed of someone smaller and unable to defend themselves, the result is massive agonising internal injuries resulting in death.

Predicted in the comments, and endorsed by your sociopathic indifference, these women are less likely to be sentenced to prison for this violent crime, less likely to be charged with murder, more likely to be considered less culpable for their actions, and more likely to be offered empathy and sympathy, compared to men who commit the same crime.

The difference in the way men and women who commit crimes of violence are treated in the media, the justice system and the community is very much a men's rights issue. In addition, the continuing endorsement of female violence as justified and praise worthy, by the feminist movement, reveals the delusional tribalism of feminist ideology, and it's indifference to the welfare and safety of children.

Before I read this, I already hate them. That little girl is adorable. How could someone do that!? Grrrrrrrrrr!!!! Wish my little girl wasn’t held from me and played like a pawn in custody battles. I missed out on her most adorable and heart filling years and when I see a little girl that reminds me of her while I’m out shopping or driving, it wrenches my heart.

I read it all… even though it was hard to do.

I cried, I cursed, I’m boiling with emotions. What that little sweetheart endured at the hands of those monsters. God dammit. If you’re going to do sick shit like that to a child, especially a toddler, give her to someone who will love her, before you do any of that. Oh my god that was just horrible to read. I keep picturing what that little sweetheart had to live through. God damn.
