So how can a person avoid fucked up leeches like her? The key might be to be to take withholding affection very very seriously early on, and to always come in with an airtight prenup and other measures to protect assets as this could help with leeches revealing themselves

In addition you kinda have to screen your partners mental health before any serious committments are made. Narcissists usually have a history of fucked up short-term relationships full of drama. They'll act all innocent or like the victim.

They also lack empathy while only pretending they were these caring people in order to be accepted socially, so I'm sure you can put that to the test too in some way
