Why is anything even remotely critical of extreme feminism or mention of men’s rights immediately labeled misogyny?

I've wondered about the same thing for a long time. All these men getting called misogynists when they clearly are not.

I've concluded that in feminist jargon misogynist just means any man who opposes feminism. I suspect the thinking is along the line of - feminism is about privilege for women, therefore anyone against it hates women.

Regardless of the thinking, the result is that "misogynist" is just another word (like equality, equity, violence, sexual assault etc) that no longer has its dictionary meaning.

Propaganda. The media is filled with pure anti-male propaganda and people fall for it. It's eerily similar to the situation in Germany during WW2 or even in the Soviet Union. The press is anti-male and reports endless anti-male stories and the citizenry eats it up.

Anyone who calls it out is a radical and an incel just as anyone who called out the anti-semitism in Triumph Of The Will was a jewish sympathizer.

It's the same story being told but people refuse to wake up to it.

Calling it misogyny is a way to attack the statement and person when you can’t actually fault the the validity of the actual argument. It’s a ad hominem logic fallacy.

Example:

Guy: “feminism has proven time and time again it’s not about equality but seeks advantages for women. For example (list unequal policies feminists have fought for and won)

Feminist: “Obviously you are a misogynist”

It's the new McCarthyism, chauvinism and authoritarianism included. Anything that dissents from publicly "accepted" norms and beliefs is bad and if dissent or affiliate with dissenters, you are radioactive and not to be trusted. You are the enemy.

It's even worse on college campuses, where even center, center left and left wing folks like me who are critical of feminism and its objectively corrosive influence on social, economic and political equity can get dogged on for voicing our evidence-based concerns.This is at a time where more women are going to college than men, who are falling behind in higher education and K-12 which feminism is in some ways responsible for. I even see it at my university where the majority of the student body are women, the faculty are predominantly women (thankfully, the department for my major isn't because otherwise it would just be shaming me for being a man) and most of student government has female representatives with few males. It was even worse last year because the student body president was a hardcore feminist who blamed all men for raping her and made it a point to always shame men for just breathing. It's how she got elected too, even though she proved to be incompetent and did nothing to genuinely support people on campus. She just rambled about feminism and whatnot and if she did something, it was only for women on campus. That became clear in a TedTalk she did that made me both cringe, vomit, and get so frustrated that we are no longer a meritocracy. They just get what you want if you have a vagina and through demeaning people. No genuine qualifications or leadership required

Because the imperialist US government is an ally of the feminist hate movement in promoting war and racism. Feminism is bailed out and bank rolled by imperialism (billions of dollars a year). Helping feminists push their hate is cheaper than paying Hollywood to make another movie boosting your war. It's the same reason the US pays Nazis across the world and other terrorist groups that do their bidding.
