Need more of that kinda stuff, there’s a guy on Tik tok called Dr.James b Stein who debunks a lot of shitty dating advice and redpill type thinking with actual science because he’s qualified with stuff like a MA and PhD in relations communication. But if you wanna skip the science drew afualo goes absolutely off on them.

Kurtis is more of a reaction channel. He’s not trying to teach young men how to date. His job is to entertain, give his opinion and try to get a laugh or two along the way. Getting upset at him for not providing a more nuanced and balanced approach to the red pill is like getting mad at SNL for not fact checking their jokes. There are other content creators who do a better job of trying to understand the mindsets of young men who turn to TRP, channels like Exposing the Manosphere come to mind, but that’s not going to be everyone’s intentions. Does it suck that men who fell into TRP with good intentions are now being ridiculed for the more extreme factions of their group? I guess. But it’s not our job to convince them. Compassion is great and all, but seeing how ridiculous everyone else finds these ideas can be just as affective at snapping them back to reality.

In my year of experience, ridiculing almost never changes minds. Flat Earther is a classic example, ever after years of online debate there are still many of them around 😂

People who are challenged and ridiculed often entrench them deeper into their beliefs and makes them want to be around people who share their belief.

Red pill is disgusting and they deserve to be the punching bag. They negatively affect so many people’s lives so I think these anti red pill channels are fighting the good fight.

I get what you are saying. I've seen many of his videos and I think he's usually mocking the self-proclaimed alphas and such, not random people that show up at their seminars and other events, but I have not seen the video you're talking about.

I agree that mocking people does not help them get better og change their point of view. It is however hard to have sympathy for someone that is already at the stage where they support harmful rhetoric. I do not think it's wrong to criticize people for that. If someone sets out to help them it should be done in a constructive manner. But it is not obligatory to try to help, and entertainment and youtube is just entertainment. It can go too far, it's crass to mock looks for example, but not ideology if you ask me.

Another thing I see as important is men saying out loud that ideas spread by the red pill are harmful. How it is done is important of course, but I think talking about it in general does more good than harm.

Contrapoints made a very interesting video on this. She made it about incels but hell incel/RPer community are cousins from what I’ve learned. She takes a very sensitive and introspective look at the incel community. While I do agree that people who have fallen victim to vile ideologies and ignorance do need sympathy most importantly. I cannot be mad at a channel who’s only purpose is to entertain and make jokes. I wouldn’t go to a comedian show for self help or in depth social ideological discussions.

I think that mockery is needed to turn people away from these things because:

PUA is worthless and basically tells socially awkward guys to do things that basically don't work and women often find to be sexual harassment. It then leaves those guys very confused and upset I'm sure when they have been trying for a long time and maybe approached and been rejected by 100 women. When I was younger I had some guys try to pick me up on the street and none of them got a date. When you approach strangers cold you can only really say something like "Hey I just wanted to tell you you look pretty today" and move along. Anything else doesn't really work and starts getting awkward and the girl starts getting worried about what is happening and how to get away. Sometimes you can meet someone at a bar but in my youth we spent most of the time clubbing running away from sexually aggressive men and I couldn't hear anything they were saying anyway.

Redpill is just teaching men to be abusive, a lot of what they teach is called coercive control in domestic violence circles, which in my country is being criminalised and is also becoming so in some other places. Redpill is extremely dangerous and is taught by complete grifters who all say how successful they are with women. Maybe you can trick young men into thinking that is true but I have seen them and listened to them and they are not people who are popular with women. They are mostly red-faced nasty men who are exactly the type women are repelled by. If they were popular they would be less angry. They're lying and they are going to get some guys arrested and even potentially some women beaten or killed.

These people are not doing good things. These are very bad actors. Curtis Conner and Nick Green etc SHOULD laugh at them. Women need them to do it because we are fucking freaked out by what is happening to men around us and need some comic relief.

BUT those who are being exploited by the grifters DO deserve sympathy. If only the truth could be sold, hey, and men who get sold a lie by these grifters wanted to listen to what women actually want? But those guys just want to hate women to divert from their own feelings so that is what sells instead. Remember that thing about "you don't ask a fish how to fish you ask the fisherman"? Who ever invented that saying needs to be locked up because they have really caused problems.

Kurtis makes a living by acting like he is accepting of all people, but sarcastically shames and mocks everyone not like him with a smug snarky attitude. I can't stand him, at all. You'll be attacked with a vengeance if you mention anything like this on his YouTube page. A large portion of his fanbase are trans and gay, and he heavily "supports" them (because it gets the views) They are dumb enough to believe he really supports them but it's all a mask.
