Since I started incorporating RP advice (since 2019) into my life, things have been much better for me - better relationship with friends, attracting men that are high quality and want the same thing as me, and overall a better relationship with myself. That being said, there is still one thing I need to work on and have no idea how: I'm very clingy.

The person I'm currently talking to can't text a lot during work, from what I gathered, which I understand. We're long distance so it's not like I can wait for him to come home. But when we're not talking - when he goes out with friends or is busy helping his family - I can't help but think that maybe he'll leave, that maybe I did something wrong and that the relationship is over. And I know it's a pattern - the same has happened in past relationships.

I read Fascinating Womanhood and one of the qualities a RP woman should have is a childlike manner. But I feel like when I'm clingy - double, triple texting, asking if I've done something wrong, etc - it's less childlike and more childish.

So I'm looking for advice. I'm already in therapy. I know this is an issue. If you struggled with clinginess in the past, how did you get over it? How did you learn how to control it?
