Well not everyone can be a house wife. There's nothing wrong with that but at the same time op not everyone is interested in a house wife either that is your opinion on a "ideal spouse" . Im ok with someone who just gives a shit about me at the end of the day , no gender roles , or bills or even work to think about just my fiance and I everything else shouldn't matter . We both work we both clean and cook , but none of that matters at the end of the day because it's us .

It’s not like my wife would be an indentured servant, it would just make life so much easier to have one person make money and one person maintain the rest of the bullshit that life throws at you. Works for some, personally I could never date a woman with no greater goals than this, and I couldn’t to be bothered to be the sole provider of an entire household, and to not have any insight in the raising of the kids due to the high maintenance career needed to be the sole provider. It really comes down to personal preference, but I do think it’s a shame how many families are dysfunctional because both parents are trying to be equally competitive in the labour market. Assuming there is a solid financial foundation, it can be hugely beneficial for the quality of family life to have one partner working less, man or woman, which modern feminist tend to rebuff due to them thinking traditional gender roles were purely to oppress woman, they don’t even think for a second that this construct was made the norm because it actually worked.

The ideal wife would be whatever an individual thinks an ideal wife would be and not shame those who aren’t traditional lol. I’m not against traditional roles but I hate when people push for the lifestyle. That’s not gonna persuade people into it.
