My NV ex is back harassing me after almost a year hiatus. He moved out 1 year and 8 months ago and has since gotten married. After the breakup this man harassed me by sending me revenge porn, breaking some of my things, threatening my new boyfriend, etc. We used to live together at one of his familys rental propertys and when he moved out, I stayed and continued to be a renter. The family & I had a casual agreement where I didn’t even have to sign a lease & for the most part, kept a business relationship & tried my best to keep a distance from his family (even though mom insisted in being friendly with me- my mistake!) Everything was fine until he found out I was moving out. To my dream location by the way! Now he is demanding that I “return” some of my furniture because he “could use it”. I declined, but ended up dropping an old coffee table off at his moms house just so he would leave me alone- and also, if he needs it that bad then he can have it, I thought.

Well now, he is demanding I pay him $300 for the coffee table (that I returned), an old sofa that he can totally have (I don’t want to take anyways- its nasty), two side tables that we made together from scrap material & a used TV that was free. This man has never asked me for any of these things back and even told me the day he moved out that I could keep the TV because he was going to take the second one we had which he bought.

First I am so confused why he is doing this now, but mainly I want to know what my rights are. Please help!

Im set to move out by next weekend but im scared he will break in my apartment and take or break my things.

Property that was left behind & in my possession, left voluntarily for over a year is MINE, right? Thanks ladies!
