I've recently discovered this subreddit and it's been very interesting and soothing to read so many intelligent comments from so many people.

I'm Canadian, and vote for the People's Party of Canada, which wikipedia calls "far right". I didn't start this way. I grew up in a left-wing household and copied those values as I got older.

In the last 5-10 years, however, I've watched the left-wing parties in Canada turn on men and on white people. I am both of those things. I've watched policies pushed out that discriminate against men, discriminate against white people, on entirely fictitious and ludicrous reasoning. In the same sense that the self-titled feminists are pushing anti-male policies under the guise of feminist and sexual equality, I've seen the same anti-white policies pushed under the guise of "anti-racist" and racial equity. I just want a world where we say "we are not going to discriminate against anyone based on their sex/gender/race and we won't allow laws/policies/cultural messaging to do otherwise."

Perhaps its different in America. I don't really know. But as someone who is male and who is white, its been made very clear to me by Canadian left wing parties (Liberals, NDP) that I am going to be discriminated against. And it's only getting worse.

I applaud all of you here for fighting the good fight, for fighting against discrimination, for fighting for equal treatment under the law. I may be on the "other side" (although most if not all of my "far right" beliefs would be labeled as progressive/left-wing if it were the 1990s), but in the end, we are all human beings and we are all in this together.

Good luck out there!
