PUA is a bit like a textbook on the techniques of Michelangelo being sold to stick figure drawing amateurs with the promise that they too can be good enough to paint The Last Judgement.

Sure, some of the stuff there will improve their results. They'll be better than before. They'll have knowledge of how to progress. Without a shit ton of practice, time, and some luck, they'll never get close to what they were promised.

PUA is the same. It's targeted at guys starting at 0 and looking to get to 100 the quick and easy way. The stuff you learn will improve success, it will help, but without a shit ton of work, practice, and luck, they'll never reach the level they aspire to. In fact, they just come off as douchey, like an over-educated and under-skilled artist.

There's nothing special about PUA, the worst of it is scammy and the best of it has nothing to add if you've read the best self help books.

PUA is basically an extension of the self help reading genre with lower level writing and speech patterns to appeal to younger males.

I think if you split two groups of random men and gave one group Dale Carnegie's How to Win Friends and Influence People, and the other group got training from the best PUA's you'd see the same results. The only difference is that the PUA's of course encourage lifting and dressing well which is a big help.

Yep. Game gets you laid with little SMV (doesn't keep the girl though), think of it as advertisement technique for SMV. We often repeat here that all SMV in the world won't get you laid with zero game but good game can get you laid with little SMV.

PUA guys have figured some shit out. They know what girls seek, they know what creates attraction, they've talked about LMR, ASD, and how to overcome it.
It's big deal theory right there. Many, many guys would be totally in the shades when it comes to that if this theory wasn't laid out. "Naturals" are awfully unaware of their methods and they couldn't explain.

I think it's worth to separate pick up theory (fundamentals), strategy (algorithm) and practice.
The theory is solid, worth reading. If you haven't done it, DO. It leads to epiphany.

The strategies vary, some are bullshit, some work only for top10% men, some waste an awful lot of time and energy to buy tier10% men a shot with a gal that will dump him and feel disgusted at herself for ever having laid him. I personally dislike them, but some authors have gone deep enough in this bit and they've actually detailed the process enough to allow men to study and maybe follow it.

Practice is practice. I think no sane PUA would ever try to sell itself as good enough to forgo it.

PUA won't help you get a particular girl. This idea that it can be some magic love potion is what leads to a lot of the guys who try PUA and fail. They try to use PUA to seduce the oneitis they have been orbiting for years and fail miserably. What PUA helps with is to get over social anxiety, gain some confidence, abundance mentality, and then eventually realizing that it doesn't matter if PUA can't help you seduce your oneitis because she isn't really that wonderful anyway.

Girls are attracted to guys who are naturally confident, dominant, and are good at navigating social situations. These natural alphas learned the best ways of interacting with women (and other men) when they were little kids.

RP helps guys who aren't naturally alpha learn to become confident, dominant, and good at navigating social situations. A guy who truly swallows the RP is basically the same as a natural alpha, just a late-bloomer. And the RP guy will have a more conscious awareness of these behaviors.

PUA helps guys who aren't naturally alpha learn how to look like they are confident, dominant, and good at navigating social situations. Sometimes "faking it until you make it" works and using PUA successfully can make a guy similar to the RP guys. Others just have a shell of PUA and are still lame omega losers on the inside.

Ask yourself is there money involved?

If yes, then it's not as good as it's claimed.

It's an industry after all and some PUAs make a living solely on that, so obviously some will do whatever it takes to not lose that money.

All the good shit (shit that works) you can find for free in places like trp.

The only two things I could agree with is social proof, no woman wants to be approached by a loner.

Maybe for you. I go to the bar by myself all the time to smoke cigarettes and watch baseball. Women love to get approached by me when I'm alone.

Great style and confidence can display social proof without other humans around, even in a location where you have never set foot prior.

Game helps but dont fall into a trap thinking its all it matters. Game is just a method to talk to girls in a sexual manner. You still need to be sexually attractive.

Some of use on TRP started with game. It's sorts a start up, I later started putting my focus on other things like becoming a naturally attractive man. Game really isn't needed but it's still something to have in your back pocket.

Overall it's not a bad place to start but after a while you should work on other things.
