So I was reading about Isis (the Egyptian god) and about how she was helping her son, Horus to win over Sett (her brother and brother in law incest wasn't a taboo).

There are 2 stories about it, In the first one like usual the good one (Horus) kills the bad one (Sett) and becomes the Pharaoh.

In the second one which was more like a debate show, Sett rapes his nephew and uses that as an argument how he unmanned Horus and thus he's the one who deserves to become the Pharaoh.

I think it says a lot about how when men face a situation that shows men have been overpowered by smth/smo they are unmanned but for women, you can't unwoman smo. That why when men become victims of anything we recieve less support wether it's a disease, rape, murder, DA, and etc.

We have to change the way that you get the title of man, for us being a man is smth that we EARN but for women they BECOME woman. That's why you see that men are less likely to admit that they are weak therefore searching for support. For men admitting that they are weak means that they have lost one of the most important part of their identity which is being a man, ofcourse it's smth that is planted in men so I'm not blaming men for being victims.

And when it comes to changes specially gender rules men are more reluctant than women. The reason is that for men being a man mean being three Ps, those are: Povider, Protector, and Procreator. The reason that Sun is a male thing in Mediterranean Mythology is because Sun has all three of them. So when smo tells men that they have to change, for men it means that we have to UNMAN ourselves but for women since that change is not going to affect their identity, they welcome the change with open arms.

The reason that it's important for society to change the way that we get the title of men is because even in my country (Iran), we're seeing lots of cultural changes and men not supporting changes will mean that they have to protect their manhood with the only acceptable emotion that a man can have: Anger, which will lead to violence.

When I see that men being transphobic more than women (as a group not indivuals) what I see is that men needing to prove their manhood and one of the three Ps is being a protector which mean men are trying to protect the cultural norms and we all now that cultural norms that has do's and dont's are destructive.

I've heard it a lot that women being comfortable with transwomen using women's bathrooms but men weren't, the reason is, that the maost important part of being protector mean that you have to protect women from other men.

PS: Women face stigmas when smth happens to them (Which also has dire consequences) But it doesn't unwoman them. We don't hear smo saying that woman who did this or that is not a real woman.

Edit: Not saying that transwomen are men, but the thing is that it's normal to assume men will do anything to hurt women. That's why transwomen are assumed to be predators
