False accusations of sexism, when they are accepted as true, become social justification for men-hating and even for discrimination against men and boys, which is regarded as "corrective" because of the belief in a "wrongdoing" based on the false accusations of sexism. Two interesting examples:

The word history. Feminists have a deep-seated belief that the lingual meaning and source of the word history, is "his story", and they regard this as concrete evidence for the sexism of men (for whom, according to this interpretation for the word, women don't exist as humans and the human past belongs entirely to men). In reality the word History comes from the word in Ancient Greek, ἱστορία, historía, “narration”. That is, History means: story. It has nothing to do with "his". In French the original "narration" meaning is even preserved today, the word Histoire (read: "east-whar") means story. The allegation that the word for history means "his story" and reveals a deliberate exclusion by men of all women from the human past - and feminists truly believe in this interpretation - is a false accusation of sexism. The word does not mean "his story". It's simply the word in ancient Greek for narration, and today in French for story.

The word sun. Apparently many feminists believe that the word comes from the word Son, and represents a patriarchal presentation of maleness as the center of the human world, again to exclude women. Actually (leaving aside the fact that throughout most of the past, humans did not regard the sun as a center), the sun is named after a female goddess. In Norse mythology, Sol, also called Sunna, is the goddess of the sun, while her brother, Mani, is the god of the moon. Sol rides a chariot that is drawn by two golden horses.

These are just two examples for false accusations of sexism, and when all other instances of this as a social phenomenon are taken together, this causes unjustified consequences for men and boys, such as resentment toward them or hate, that sometimes lead to discrimination, perceived as "justified" due to the acceptance of false accusations of sexism as true.
