Not particularly interesting, I know. But I came to this sub out of curiosity/bad mouthing in other subs. There’s been a few posts about how men are touch-starved and don’t generally receive much affection.

It’s been about two years and just the daily checkup on him has made us a lot closer. I’ve also started accepting invitations to whatever he’s interested in at the minute, like going to a certain country house because he likes to take pictures of the architecture, and going to forests etc so he can take plant clippings. He just enjoys showing me his interests

I also learnt he likes to feel needed, so I ask him to do things in my house, even though I could do them myself. He will plant something in my garden and ask about it weekly on it’s progress and his face will light up when I say how happy I am with it.

I also hug him every day that I’m visiting. The last time I visited he was wearing overalls covered in paint, so when I said I was leaving he RAN to take them off so we could hug before I left.

I grew up in a very much men-showing-no-emotions house, so seeing his get excited and happy is amazing.
