How do you respond to/deal with 'the bar is so low for straight men'

I don’t. Because talking to people who think like this is wasting time.

They aren’t giving me any money to talk to them nor am I getting any stronger or fitter or richer.

I have better things to do.

I've only seen those phrase in context of regret/vent.

Usually after a woman woke up from following very bad, but common advice of 'ReLATiOnsHIp iS wErK' and wasting several years of her life on an obvious loser. Similar to anger phase after waking up from obvious bait-and-switch' for men.

Ultimatively, I think people who genuinely believe in 'the bar' often run into similar people over and over again. Just like how some guys wondered why they kept on running into women who cheat on them and treat them meanly.

When one believes that the bar really is on the floor, they tend to be more okay with entertaining individuals who are low bar. Since they think that's what is outside anyway.
