I'm a straight man so I know from first hand experience that the bar isn't low. From what I've seen when people describe 'the bar' I personally pass it, yet none the less I haven't found any intimacy/romance yet guys who don't pass the bar are able to find it. If the bar is as low as people say it is then someone would have been interested in me by now

This phrase really pisses me off because I know it's not true and I don't like being lied to, especially when it's obviously not true

What should I do when I see it? I want to challenge it but feel I can't properly articulate why they're aren't necessarily correct, and even if they did they wouldn't listen. The best thing I've done to it is simply ignore it and tell myself whoever's saying it is ignorant and out-of-touch and shouldn't be listened to
