I am an only child and am a woman who grew up thousands of miles away from her male cousins. I also come from a very traditional culture. So I am here to learn and understand male struggles. I have a boyfriend I adore, a father whom I respect above anyone else, and plenty of male cousins and friends who I wish to understand. I don't think the world is fair to anyone and I know the struggles of men are unique to men but I am rarely exposed to such struggles. Whether it's because I am privileged or whether the boys and men around me are privileged I don't know. But I wish to be better educated in a social struggle that rarely makes it onto mainstream media.

Among other reasons, because I can't stand to see injustice. But right now I can't do much about the injustice I see men suffering from. Being on here reading what people have to say about it is the best I can do atm.

I'm also extremely fed up of older women, professors, collegues in my college and workplace pushing feminism down my throat. It feels like being groomed into the victim narrative and it's incredibly demoralizing. Being here is like an antidote to that.

I'm here because I was rescued from an abusive mother by my father who ended up having to file bankruptcy just to battle court fees to get custody of me.

I'm here because I have both a son, and a daughter, and I want them to actually have true equality, where they're based off their merits, not their genitals.

And yeah, sometimes, you'll get that random member who clearly just hates women as much as feminists hate men, but I'm not gonna let that stop me lol. And they're pretty rare, all things considered.

I have an 18 yr old son who is a straight, white, male. Probably the most hated race/gender on the planet for some reason. I worry about what issues he will have to face in the future.

I understand the anger some men have towards our matriarchal society and I share that anger. The matriarchy hurt me, too; through fatherlessness, toxic gender dynamics and masculinity being demonized in our society.

 Well, I’ve noticed that for the past decade or so I think the media in America has become increasingly anti-male. Thought this sub could give me more insight on the inequalities that men face. However, I notice there are occasional misogynists here and there, a lot of people with a victim mentality here that is similar to your radfems, so that’s what stops me from calling myself a mens’ rights activist.

Mixed feelings. I wanna know more about men and how they really feel, irl it’s impossible since men avoid like the plague because boo unattractive women but I can’t help it to know more about you guys. Never got the chance to be with men in my life so yeah. When I was 16-17 I was some aort of a sjws and all that extreme left feminist stuff and also my own experiences with men that will rate as a good 4/10 and I think that my views are all fucked up cause of that.

From the posts I’ve read... I think men should be more open and more like raw with how they really feel, you feel more and more left out, talk about it and I bet there is a healthy to do it. That “war” between the genders shouldnt exist. Might edit this later because I’m getting tired but yeah.

Personally, I’m here cause I think we need men’s and women’s rights. I’m more of an old fashioned feminist. I don’t agree with anything in modern feminism. But I do think we still need it. And I feel the same way about men’s rights which is why I am here. I want a good perspective on both so that I can find a good balance.

To be completely honest, there are some men on here that I have found to be just as bad as over at the feminist subs. They gate keep pretty hard and I’ve seen quite a few men hate against women and marriage like all women are trying to trap men in marriage for their own personal gain. And of course it’s only a few men on here, however there are still times where I notice the same toxicity that I’ve seen on the feminist subs. The only difference is I’ve been banned from the feminist subs and I haven’t been banned here yet thankfully.

The world is a hard place for each gender to grow up in. Men are taught to push their feelings down, and girls are taught that they need to act a certain way to be a real lady. We all have our struggles, but neither side wants to listen to the other. I want to listen to both sides. And there’ll be things I disagree with on both ends, but I still want to listen and understand

I'm a neonatal female but have gender dysphoria (which has a neurobiological basis) and am on testosterone, so I don't think I count as a woman in a sense, but I'm here right now because:

I'm procrastinating sleep.
I want to stew in my internalized misogony (derived from gender dysphoria but blown out of proportion in my mind).
I want to feel slightly validated that some of my thought patterns align with more men than women, although this obviously does not make me a man on a social level or someone with actual experience being a neonatal male.
I'm trying to anger myself (for (unhealthy) mental stimulation) by reading posts/comments about how women have life "on easy mode." I feel angered because my brain straight-up barely functions on estrogen (likely because of gender dysphoria having a neurobiological basis), and thus, I have come to associate estrogen (or rather, a lack of testosterone) with 11.5 straight years of depression, dissociation, emotional inconsistency, a lessened pain tolerance, low energy/libido/appetite, migraines, a functional reproductive system (and therefore disabling PMDD/pregnancy risk), suicidal ideation, and an overall lifetime increased risk of chronic pain and female-related health issues. After starting testosterone (which my brain functions on), I now associate testosterone with, well, feeling "like I should." My libido, pain tolerance, mood regulation, and energy, among other things, feels "right." As a result of these realizations, I, partially out of self-hatred for having ovaries and partially out of envy for men with testes, become rather angry when I hear men envying women in any capacity. However, that anger is unfounded; most women are comfortable in their brains and their bodies (cisgender), my perception of being female is extremely negatively warped, and the thought of being male is euphoric to me. I suppose that I'm more neurobiologically masculine-leaning, so perhaps I can claim that if most (cis) men woke up in a female body, it would absolutely not be "easy mode." Testosterone is like oxygen to me, and being without it nearly made me end it due to the awful quality of life I had. But that's only my experience. Who knows for certain? I don't.
I'm genuinely curious about the stories written here, since many issues men face are unfair and life-ruining in some circumstances, and men's rights do matter to me.

Honest, honest. I've always felt blokes had things easier, so wanted to empathise with the struggles blokes feel to help put away some of my victim feelings.

Some men here I've found trully relatable but unfortunately the extreme ones you remember more. And my goal has actually gotten further away!

Good grief. Yes, many are here for "selfish" reasons -- just like the men are -- something bad happened to them. Their husband was discriminated against and that's (of course) directly hurt them too. Or their son was bullied by the teachers at school. Or the child support their family has to pay out to the husband's ex-'s family is crippling them.

And then some are here for a "pure" abstract reason like wanting to fight for what's right in the world.

Im here to get a different point of view, i haven’t actually joined because even if i slightly disagree or my opinion doesn’t fit perfectly some men are just straight up rude. Ive been called a “radical feminist “ for disagreeing. I feel like a lot of men on here just don’t like women, even the ones trying to understand their point of view.

There was actually a comment on my post in this sub, a few minutes ago where a guy told me I'm not welcome, so I actually wondered if women aren't allowed here?

I'm here because I can't not care about men's rights when I exist because of one, who raised me to be kind and respectful, who I'd watch often walk up to veterans who were 90, shaking their hands, or instead of killing mice in his house, he'd left them go free outside. He was a cis white man, and there are feminists who'd have you see him as evil, but he wasn't. I'm here because I know there are other men like my dad that exist, and I know not all men are terrible. I also fight against infant circumcision as well, because one day they'll be men.
