This rant is inspired by something I saw the last week. I went back to a gym I left 5 years ago. Saw one dude in his late 20’s doing some forearm curl bullshit with 10 lb or something like that. I recognized him from 5 years ago. He literally hasn’t made any progress. In 5 years. I went 6 days last week and he was there every time. Longer than me because I see him when I get there and leave before he does. My only thought was how the fuck do you dedicate so much time and energy and years of your life without improving?

So my question for all you guys who aren’t seeing results - are you actually fucking lifting? Or are you going through the motions? It’s pretty simple if your looking for some more mass. Work the muscle, then feed it. A muscle will only grow if it needs to. Are you working to failure? Do you even know what failure is? How long have you been doing 125 lb on the lat pull down for sets of 10? Guess what, that doesn’t do anything because your body is used to it. It’s just maintaining what it needs. MOVE MORE WEIGHT! Stop wasting your fucking time and lift heavier. Sets of 5, and your 5th rep you should barely be able to finish the rep. You should actually fail. That’s your new weight. The reps that matter are the last 2, not the first few. You need to give the body a reason to grow.

Then eat a clean meal and get some sleep. Maybe you’ll actually wake up sore for once.
