men are literally being forced to go to war right now in Ukraine.

[–]ABeeBox 37 points38 points39 points 3 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

The argument "Men make their own problems" when that's proved false when my female president, Grybauskaite, reintroduced mandatory military service for men. What happened to "my body my choice", and "don't speak on behalf of my gender?", Oh and the massive list of monarchies of female rulers that sent men to die in wars.

It's a double standard.

[–]Historianof40k 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

i bet you some feminist will say “ oh but that was in the past and we were oppressed in the past” but then turn around and say oppression of men is fine just for karmic reasons

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

The funny thing is men nowadays aren’t to blame for they’re “ oppression “ I love how feminist are trying to get back at men who had nothing to do with anything

[–]Emotional-Hat-21 0 points1 point2 points 2 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link

The women trying to get back at men, have never been oppressed either. Not even a little.

[–]macrotransactions 26 points27 points28 points 3 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

And media talked about how women have it worse in that war because some got raped.

Rape is bad, but being forced to die in war is way worse. But of course there is no sympathy for men.

[–]GBTC_EIER_KNIGHT 22 points23 points24 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Because men are disposable

[–]SvartHok 9 points10 points11 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yeah, also they always skip over that men suffer of it too.

[–]ArdinOkira 9 points10 points11 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Heck even with rape they claim men can’t be raped as if we’re objects, which now that I think about it is what they claim men treat them as… very interesting imo.

[–]Zephyr9865 2 points3 points4 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It's called projection.

[–]GiveMeAFunnyUsername 37 points38 points39 points 3 years ago (19 children) | Copy Link

Context: Indian company.

That's it. That's all you need to know.

[–]Handle-me-timber 16 points17 points18 points 3 years ago (18 children) | Copy Link

India is the only country where they have fully turned men away from masculinity. The only reason they get away with it is because arranged marriage still guarantees the man will get a wife and kids.

[–]master-idiot 7 points8 points9 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Wrong! Arranged marriage is not forced marriage. It is basically a dating pool. You have to be masculine or get picked or you'll be last pick

[–]Particular_Point_243 10 points11 points12 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

clearly you dont know about 498A and DV act

[–]Handle-me-timber 2 points3 points4 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I certainly am not an expert in any countries legal system. So no I’m not educated on those.

[–]NarutoBoy87 7 points8 points9 points 3 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Nope still better than western countries.. Its getting there though...

[–]Handle-me-timber 3 points4 points5 points 3 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

The government may not be involved in the persecution like the west yet, but I can’t say I’ve seen a good example of an Indian man being masculine across the internet. Maybe that’s just because they don’t get the amplification of others idk.

[–]NarutoBoy87 2 points3 points4 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Internet is fair source, yes... 👍

Let me know what exactly you want to see, may be i can help look for it.. 😄

[–]Handle-me-timber 2 points3 points4 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I mean sitcoms or comedy isn’t a good representation either, it’s not like I have the money to just go to India and immerse myself. The internet is the most likely place to see it.

[–]RockmanXX 8 points9 points10 points 3 years ago* (10 children) | Copy Link

India is the only country where they have fully turned men away from masculinity

Despite this stereotype of Indian men being effeminate, India is the country with the lowest divorce rates.

EDIT: Downvoting me won't change the facts.

[–]Handle-me-timber 5 points6 points7 points 3 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link

If I remember correctly, Indian women who divorce are seen as some of the most shamed people in the country. Part of the traditional and arranged marriage system places social consequences on divorce that aren’t present in western countries, I reckon that has a huge impact on the divorce rates too.

[–]RockmanXX 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link

You said that India is only country where their Men were "fully turned away" from masculinity. If that was true, then Indian Men would be more open to polyamory, cuckoldry&promiscuity, wouldn't they?

[–]Handle-me-timber 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Logically that makes sense. I can see your point now. I just don’t think the divorce rate was really that strong of evidence in this specific scenario.

[–]RockmanXX 6 points7 points8 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Feminists like the one from OP are just a loud minority in India. Only 1-5% of Indians read&write English, these Indian feminists exist in their own upper middle class bubble.

[–]haileycol 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Only 1-5% of Indians read&write English

11%-14% actually, which is 128,539,090 people (some sources say 194 million) which is half the population of the USA, making India the second largest english speaking population in the world - second to the USA itself.

Minority in India? Yes. But 128,539,090 (or 194 million) people with english speaking ability and the internet is far from being a bubble.

So, if they’re fully turned from masculinity I guess that means they have fully turned to femininity. Which means they would be more open to cheating, cheating and cheating. Ha! There are entire industries geared toward married men cheating. Lap dancing, brothels, massage parlours, red light districts, Ashley Madison………I’ve heard of prostitutes that say they get into cars with baby seats in them all the time. Don’t flatter yourself that men are inherently more loyal and respectful of marriage, because they’re not.

[–]RockmanXX 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

I guess that means they have fully turned to femininity Which means they would be more open to cheating, cheating and cheating

Wait, are you implying that most Women are Cheaters because they're feminine? I wouldn't say that.

Don’t flatter yourself that men are inherently more loyal and respectful of marriage, because they’re not.

Now, where the hell did i sthay at? All i said was that If Men were truly lacking in masculinity, they would be open to emasculating degenerate practices such as Polaymory&Cuckoldry.

[–]Canadian-female 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

No. I thought that’s what you were implying. The way I saw it, a move from masculinity could only mean a move toward femininity, so when you said that would cause men to become more open to multiple relationships I thought it meant you think women are inherently like that. I’m sorry if I misinterpreted, but that’s what brought the kinda snarky reply.

I don’t understand how a weaker sense of masculinity could make a man more interested in polygamy etc. I still don’t see the connection.

 “Don’t flatter yourself…..”

was based on my interpretation of the polygamy statement.

[–]RockmanXX 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link

The way I saw it, a move from masculinity could only mean a move toward femininity

That can only be possible if you define Femininity as a lack of Masculinity. Or in other words, you have to define the default state of humans as "Feminine" for this logic to work.

was based on my interpretation of the polygamy statement.

Read it again, i said Polyamory which could refer to either Polygamy(Male Harem) or Polyandry(Female Harem) or both of them at the same. The one i specifically had in mind was polyandry, which is emasculating to Men. But if men were already emasculated as someone suggested, then they would be open to Polyandry.

Having low divorcee rates doesn't necessarily make it a good thing.

[–]odysseytree 21 points22 points23 points 3 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

What's the correlation between going to war and shopping online?

[–]Cyanidecraving[S] 28 points29 points30 points 3 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Imagine if something like this was made for a woman, that company would be trending rn

[–]Direct_Geologist_536 6 points7 points8 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

That's actually a real marketing strategy

[–]mixing_saws 2 points3 points4 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

A real strategy to go broke

[–]dependency_injector 13 points14 points15 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

If your legs get blown off, shopping offline becomes more difficult

[–]MuchAndMore 6 points7 points8 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Basically that men aren't men anymore because we're not all war stricken PSTD vets who go drafted unwillingly. Now we order stuff online like women I guess. Which they deem hilarious.

"They aren't killing themselves for us anymore!!!"

[–]Some___Guy___ 17 points18 points19 points 3 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Can someone translate this into normal?

[–]Direct_Geologist_536 15 points16 points17 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Into normal lmaoo

[–]Net_Flux3 10 points11 points12 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It roughly says "Men used to go to war and now, even shopping is done online by them."

[–]PonderingMan33 10 points11 points12 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Ahmm ahmm.... Ukraine conflict online yet.

[–]buppyu 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

‘Men use to go to war’… Women use to be wives and not flash their buttholes on the internet for $2.99 p/m.
