It's not necessary for a man to be in a position of power over women. Just being a man means society allows men more and better choices than if they were women. That doesn't mean patriarchy is a net positive for all or maybe even most men.

Good to know men have better choices when it comes to conscription, paternal rights, reproductive rights, bodily autonomy, etc.

I wonder how much time OOP wasted on writing that piece. Since the patriarchy doesn't exist, the point just falls flat.

Only thing I can agree on is the point OOP wrote about what's "girly shit", e.g showing affection. But at the end of the day no one should care what others think about doing manly or girly stuff.
