I had to do jury service on an utterly awful case. The middle aged women on the jury were lusting after two of the three defendants, early 20s. They tried to arrange it so that the one who was more challenged in the looks and wealth department would take the entire rap, and simply didn't listen to the evidence, just cherry-picked it. Just thought of another one. So Johnny Cash wrote a song called Tennessee Flat Top Box, about a young boy who made all the women go insane and melt over him and hock jewelry just to afford a ticket to see him play the guitar. Then in 1987, his daughter did a cover of it. I fucking LOVE that song but again, it raises the question of the double standard, if grown men were hocking expensive jewelry and whatnot to go see a young GIRL play the guitar, imagine the backlash.
