Thousands of dads are left in shock as DIY paternity tests soar. Up to 30,000 tests are being performed every year, says Alphabiolabs. In the UK about 750,000 babies are born every year. Feminists want the test to be illegal without the written consent of the mother.

Why is it always 'sex' when a woman is the perpetrator in cases like these? I find the usage of the word, 'sex' mildly disturbing. It's Rape, as simple as that!

[–]nederhoed 37 points38 points39 points 3 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

In The Netherlands this would be legal, assuming consent on both sides. From 16 yo up you are considered sexual mature.

There is some logic in that. We all have seen US news articles where the boy is 19 and the girl 17, in a relationship and then the boy gets in trouble for making love to his girlfriend.

Consent is more important than age. And #metoo also applies: if you are in a uneven power relation (as here, coach student), you should be extra aware of your responsibility.

She’s 31 and he’s 17. This isn’t a Romeo and Juliet case. She’s also his teacher.

[–]sailormondiak1 points 3 years ago [recovered] (1 child) | Copy Link

Yeah but is he traumatized because of the consensual sex with an older woman or is he traumatized because the woman he had sex with is in prison because of him?

[–]Ash_WasTaken123 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Dumb ass response

[–]TenOfZero 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I believe the age of consent in the us is 16 as well. But it's 18 when the older one is in a position if power like a teacher etc..

[–]goinsouth85 2 points3 points4 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It Depends on the state, it’s anywhere from 16-18. Also, in most states, teachers are absolutely not allowed to have sex with students, regardless of age

Yes, we should always get a gif of the Obama quote. R is r.

[–]Dareal_truth -2 points-1 points0 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

No it’s not rape. He knew what he was doing he hit 8 times lol

[–]rational-is-actual 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yeah it was most likely consensual but it's still statutory rape

Yep. The article says she may face up to 5 years, which of course means she may serve notably less.

Remember when the second wave feminists essentially got rid of male secondary teachers to stop this exploitation. Seeing more and more stories like this Female Teacher young boy - girl 12+ Difference being now that they get a slap on the wrist

[–]Obarak123 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yeah that thing about 2nd wave feminists never happened. But this teacher should definitely get punished for this

[–]_Denzo 19 points20 points21 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Imagine if they made genders anonymous in trials, the jury couldn’t see the defendant, the defendant talks to their lawyer and they say what the defendant says, they don’t say the victims gender, imagine how different punishment would be

[–]BeABeaconGiveHimHead 29 points30 points31 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

“Rape.” She’s a rapist.

[–]Yunker27 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

She should have been a beacon and just gave him head…

[–]sharksville 22 points23 points24 points 3 years ago (36 children) | Copy Link

Reverse the genders you get different words being used and a different punishment. If it was a man instead of the woman, words such as rape definitely would’ve been used and instead of facing years in prison, with would probably be life in prison if not the death penalty

[–]paopaopoodle 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (35 children) | Copy Link

Can you provide a single instance where anyone was sentenced to death for statutory rape?

[–]sharksville 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (34 children) | Copy Link

There was actually a guy who was given the death sentence for that. I can’t remember his full name though I’ll have to take some time to find it. But I’ve seen a fair amount of cases where guys were given the death penalty after a second sexual assault, statutory rape is even bigger deal

[–]paopaopoodle 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (33 children) | Copy Link

I don't believe that's true. You'll have to find a source. I don't think there's even a single state that has the death penalty as a possible sentence for rape, let alone statutory rape. Perhaps in the story you're thinking of the suspect killed the victim too.

[–]sharksville 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (32 children) | Copy Link

Search the name Michael and see if something comes up I can’t remember the name correctly and this was a long time ago. Guy had a thing for underage children but only a couple of times went too far and was given the death sentence.

[–]paopaopoodle 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (31 children) | Copy Link

Nope, nothing but rapists who murdered their victims. Perhaps you're misremembering.

[–]sharksville 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (30 children) | Copy Link

Nope not misremembering. It was like that whole Freddy Kruger type deal where this guy had a thing for minors particularly for the ones that just start puberty. His death penalty came about after he targeted a 9 year old and he was some kinda coach. Like I said I don’t remember the exact details and all but this wasn’t a murder deal

[–]paopaopoodle 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (29 children) | Copy Link

If true, that's a huge leap from this story. You suggested that if the coach were a man who had slept with a 17-year-old willingly, then he would likely face the death penalty. However, at best you can only point to violent serial child rapists facing such circumstances. The cases aren't quite comparable.

[–]sharksville 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (28 children) | Copy Link

Whatever works for you really I’m just stating something that’s actually happened. This guy mostly had a thing for minors. Let’s say around the age of 14 give or take a year or two. His death penalty came about when he did something to a 9 year old. The whole point of this was that when commit these things then worse they get is a slap on the wrist. But if a guy does something that equal to what a woman does, he gets the death penalty

[–]paopaopoodle 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (27 children) | Copy Link

But this woman isn't a serial rapist, nor is she raping 9-year-olds, so your point is pretty idiotic. You're comparing consensual sex with one minor to a person who repeatedly raped very young children, and then wondering why the sentencing isn't the same. The sentencing isn't the same because the crimes aren't the same.

Moreover, most men who rape children do not face the death penalty. In Ohio, where this crime occurred the death penalty isn't even an option for rape, so no man or woman would ever be sentenced to it there. In fact, the age of consent in Ohio is 16-years-old, and the only reason this woman is facing charges is due to the fact that she worked in a position of authority over children, making it a special circumstance. If anything, the prosecutors are being quite harsh on the woman in this case, so your point is wholly invalidated.

[–]Cybralisk 4 points5 points6 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

The age of consent in Ohio is 16, What law are they using in this case?

[–]Max2000Warlord 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It's because she was in a position of authority.

[–]63daddy 2 points3 points4 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

This wasn’t sex. This was sexual harassment, aggression and rape all on the same plate. Let’s see if she gets a reduced sentence just because she’s “pretty”.

[–]Wokeismiscancer 2 points3 points4 points 3 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

Our Indians be like : we don't do that here bro. Because women are godesses who need to be worshipped, and if you hold them accountable for the crimes, you are a misogynist, sexist, patriarchal, incel, rapist, racist. Lol

[–]Obarak123 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

I have no doubt you are some shade of all the things you've listed. Women should be punished for crimes they commit and I doubt you would be able to find a credible source that says otherwise

[–]Wokeismiscancer 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Feminists and woke soyboys would disagree with you.

[–]Obarak123 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

You're in a mens rights group yet you are using a derogatory term to describe other men and boys. And you specifically chose to attack Indians with your ridiculous claim. I repeat: you're probably a shade of the things you listed at the end😅

[–]Wokeismiscancer 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I am an Indian myself. Just mentioned the reality of India. The soyboy is a term used for those anti men's rights men who blindly support man hating Feminists. I am none of that but i am sure you are a staunch radical Anti men Misandrist.

[–]Obarak123 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

That's the difference between me and you. I want to see everyone on society do better. You're just hating on feminists and "soy boys"

I want fathers to have as much legal right and access to their children as women.

I want single parent households (which are mostly women) to have the support they need to survive.

What you're doing is typical incel behaviour, disrespecting women and any man who calls out your crap

[–]Critical_Speed2936 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

who cares?

[–]xsplizzle 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

"years" more like

[–]twisty286 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

honestly i'd say this is progress, obviously shes a rapist and the fact that they referred to it as "sex" is wrong, but at least she's actually getting a trial and sentence because that doesn't happen very often these days

[–]TAPriceCTR 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago* (4 children) | Copy Link

I understand why people are upset and you want the misnomer to be used equally, but it should be UNused equally instead. It is an insult to victims of actual rape (when a person's choice to NOT have sex is denied them) to apply that term when the "victim's" will was TO have sex and we as a society seem it unacceptable.

The adults my relative started seeking out at age 12 deserved jail time for contributing to the delinquency of a minor and sexual misconduct, but it wasn't rape. Even if you're stupid enough to believe consenting sex with a minor is close to a bad as forcing an adult to have sex against their will, "rape" still needs to be reserved for actual rape because raping a minor is still categoricaly worse.

[–]Onyxbrother5 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

So unless I’m reading this wrong, it is rape when a woman is below the age of consent yet is willing, but it’s not when it’s the other way around? Whether they want it or not, the adult should have the wherewithal to wave away any “misconduct” with a minor if it becomes untenable. Female teachers have their way with young boys in their classroom to fulfill a fantasy of taking a boys virginity or giving that man/boy something he can’t get everyday: an experienced love toy. But she’s taking advantage. If she gets pregnant, she gets carte blanch to keep that boy away from his kid. I’ve seen it happen too many times. It’s as much torture to that young man as it will be to his kid who won’t get to see him. If that’s doesn’t constitute rape culture, I don’t know what does. Because it kills the young man’s spirit as much as it would a woman’s. Only his continued to drag out as long as the authorities don’t do anything to fix it.

[–]TAPriceCTR 3 points4 points5 points 3 years ago* (1 child) | Copy Link

No. You're reading it VERY wrong. "It needs to be UNused equally " meaning "consentual sex with a minor is sexual misconduct regardless of which sex is involved in which role". Rape is sex against the victims will regardless of which sex is involved in which role. I don't understand how you read a sexist double standard into anything I said.

[–]Onyxbrother5 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

That’s your opinion. If a person is under the age of consent, laws are there to protect young people from themselves. If they don’t possess the ability to use forethought in adult matters especially when it comes to sex,it’s probably because they’re being taken advantage of. Misconduct is that slap on the wrist from doing something that will and can hurt someone under the age of consent later. Which is the reason it’s so frowned upon. It’s manipulative and potentially insidious as far as it’s consequences. Why is why the rape tag is there. Especially again if it’s actual intercourse with someone old enough to be your son/daughter

[–]Living_with_lovies 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Even if you're stupid enough to believe consenting sex with a minor is close to a bad as forcing an adult to have sex against their will,

Maybe not as bad but both of them are rape. Consenting to have sex with a minor is abusing them, they aren't prepared to give consent

[–]WeEatBabies 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

FTFA : "Rison was given a GPS tracker after paying 10 per cent of her $10,000 bail"

Pretty much the state of the U.K., have bail to pay, while woman, only pay 10%.

She won't see a day in jail!

[–]Eric-Ridenour 10 points11 points12 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

No. 10% is the non refundable amount you pay to a bondsman. That’s the same for men and women. You either pay it all at once and get it all back or pay the bondsman 10% and they keep it but provide the rest like a loan.

Well thank fuck she's already plead guilty to the sexual battery and gross sexual imposition charges. Those alone are 3rd degree felonies, and the latter proves there was at least one instance where his judgement was impaired enough for her to take advantage without him being able to provide explicit consent and/or she used her position to threaten or forcefully engage in contact.

I wouldn't be surprised if an additional charge is tacked on during proceedings for 'Illegal use of minor in nudity-oriented material or performance' should the video taping of them having sex be proven to be taken by the boy... that falls under chid pornography jurisdiction and is a second degree felony carrying the possibility of two to eight years in prison. It also carries a mandatory prison sentence if the defendant also pleads guilty to a sexual motivation specification, which she did.

Given they had sex 8 times, I don't know if the court will rule this a rape case, but she'll be a sexual offender forever, so that's a consolation...however small it is.

She had no fucking right to do this. It was pathetic on her part. No woman should ever disrespect a child's life this way, and that's what he still is...a child. Bitch.
