I took a month off and traveled South East Asia. Spent a week with family (I grew up there). Rode a motorbike through rural Vietnam. Disappointed just about every single woman between Hoi An and Hanoi when I confessed I wasn’t Vietnamese. Spent a week in Denver to scout neighborhoods and plan my relocation.

Less than 48 hours after I returned to my house in Indiana, my lawyer sends me the divorce decree. It’s finally done. I was relieved more than anything, but I also conceded the dog. I’ve posted about that before, but to summarize: if I didn’t give up the dog that I had for years before I met my ex, I would have been paying much much more.

I’m just glad it’s over now. No kids. I’m freshly into my 30s and have great prospects ahead. I’m thankful things have come to a reasonable resolution. I hope yours will too. And now, it’s time to take a deep breath and start a new chapter.
