I'm curious to see what people in this subreddit have to say. It's clear to me modern feminism is not working. Fertility numbers are falling, women only care about themselves essentially and masculinity is seen as toxic. Should we go back to how it used to be? That seems a bit unfavorable for women though. Like when women couldnt even have a bank account and getting out of a marriage was very hard, even if it was an abusive one. But a man paying alimony and child support like today, just because a woman decided she can't be bothered with him anymore doesn't seem fair either. A man assumes a lot of risk for marriage these days, with little reward.

How should society move going forward, should laws focus more on bringing back traditional gender roles or should they focus more on bringing about total Equality (i.e. holding women responsible to the same extent as men)? I find the view of total equality to be a bit unrealistic. How can women be drafted like men, when women are much weaker (and studies show females in combat units make them fare worse)? How is it ever going to be equality in bringing up children when women are the ones giving birth, breastfeeding etc. At the same time going full patriarchy again might but women at risk for having to stay with abusive men. Is there a middle ground somewhere?

I'm not so sure but would be interesting to hear your thoughts on an ideal society and relationship, both legally and in terms of gender roles.
