The title says it all. I have seen and personally experienced that a lot of times, people (especially women) shame men who have a preference for a virgin or low n-count women. My question is, why shouldn't they ? It's their preference. Isn't the entire point of dating to find a partner according to your preference ?

The response I hear most often is "Do you hold yourselves to the same standards ?" Although I get the intent of this response, it still doesn't change the fact that if a man has a preference for a low n-count woman to settle with, he has every right to reject the high n-count woman despite his own n-count. At worse, he is reducing his own dating options if women see through his hypocrisy. As long as he's being honest and respectful about it, he has every right to reject her and find the partner he wants to.

People often call men with this preference as "misogynist", "sexist" or "insecurity". Well it can't be the first two if the man is not shaming the woman for sleeping around. A man doesn't become "misogynist" or "sexist" simply for rejecting a woman who doesn't suit his preferences. As for "insecurity", what's wrong with being insecure. Everyone who's participating in monogamy is insecure upto some point. People in monogamy often like to stay exclusive, what's the reason behind that other than insecurity ? Why don't people in monogamy let their partners fuck other people ?

If women can have the standards for height, finances, fitness level and what not. Does a man who has standards for a virginity or promiscuity become evil ?

I want opinions on this from the supporters as well as the adversaries.
