He used the very standard trauma and fear-based conditioning with things like exploitation and blackmail (called "collateral" for women to 'prove' they were worthy of being 'taught' by him, a proclaimed genius) mixed with feel good brain chems and grooming/"love". He groomed others well.

Those 'tactics' work at a brain level too, so people often don't realize why it works. Watch a docuseries called The Vow. They explain everything he did very well. Nearly everyone is susceptible to brainwashing, despite what Red Pill and other destructive groups claim. Mental associations can be powerful.

It's not a 'dumb' person thing. Really smart people have been caught up in cults throughout history. Con artists are very good at what they do. Dictators use the same 'tactics' and we've seen how caught up people get in historical country-wide 'cults' as well. People get killed even.

Brainwashing/conditioning is slow, insidious, and intentionally uses flaws in our logical and emotional processing to work. Human brains are flawed with biases and cognitive distortions. Memory anchoring, forced dissonance, 'opposite game', and all they use keep someone a mental prisoner.

As for the branding, people need to understand the power of undue influence. Once someone is a mental prisoner, cult leaders can literally get people to do anything for them via proxy, even kill, in a sort of dissociated state. Really good leaders can get a person to completely override their core morals.

Pickup artistry uses some of the similar affects and that's how they can get women to sleep with them as well. Some PUA coaches taught literally the same stuff to create "cults of two" using the same methods, but relabeling terms can be an extremely powerful 'tactic' to trick those who do research.

All this is exactly why it's vital for everyone to research these things and look at behaviours rather than the terms used. "Newspeak" is something that has been used throughout history to trick the gullible masses into the most heinous of crimes. People are flawed; knowing those flaws can help.

Theres nothing to “explain.” The guy sounds like a psychopath. And yes, very average looking. Thats why he “got” those women. using manipulation and abuse. But hey guess what? Anyone can be abusive, dangerous, or manipulative. Thats why the women dont like nice guys argument doesnt make sense. Anyone out there could be narcissistic and selfish, etc. looks or the lack thereof dont make some “safe or unsafe”

Red pill will say that he was powerful. And he was actually an alpha male with a lot of masculine energy or maybe even a sigma male. They sometimes talk about sigma males when you bring up something that doesn't fit with the norm!! Lol
