I don't know. In co ed schools boys are discriminated. I think if boys school do exist they should go through some Reformation and should be more freedom oriented. Rn the boys schools are just girls schools but more strict and without girls. I'd say colleges should not be single sex

I too went to an all boys school and I think it actually helped. There is a lot of unconscious bias among teachers that makes them give girls better grades relative to boys in the class. But being in an environment where it's all boys makes the bell curve more equal for boys.

Also, there's a lot of learned toxicity perpetuated in hetero highschool relationships. Being in an all boys school shielded me from a lot of that noise and allowed me to form my romantic norms in a more mature and thought out manner.

If it's sex discrimination, but applies equally negatively to girls who share your view (i agree that they should be abolished, btw).. isn't "discrimination" kind of a poor choice of wording? Unless theyre both designed and employed to mitigate the harms of boys from people's biased perceptions around boys, then they would be much less discrimination than simply segregation, or maybe, asymmetric mutual discrimination

Fuck no. Boys at such schools can be better judged against their peers, because there are no girls to receive preferential treatment. It's even better for them academically if all the teachers are male.

No. People from different races do not have significant differences. But boys and girls do. You may have been to a bad school, but that does not mean all single-sex schools are necessarily bad.

In fact, I think a good argument may be made for separating boys and girls during classes in middle school, when they're balls of hormones and easily distracted.

Yes. We live in a society where having men and women be able to interact with each other is normal, healthy and neccesary. I believe segregating the genders only helps to promote a lack of empathy between the genders. The extent to which females dominate teaching positions or favour female students in grading are separate, higher-level failures in the way we structure and implement education. In other words, we should not accommodate failures of socialization by reducing socialization; we need to confront these problems and fix them, rather than just delaying them.

Hard to say. Given that boys are currently discriminated against at all levels of education, it would certainly be helpful at least in their early years to not subject them to the constant disapproval of their educators.
