I was having a discussion with one of my neighbors this weekend about Christmas. She is recently divorced, and has 3 children, 2 of which are with her ex-husband. She said that she didn't think that he deserved to have their kids for christmas, because they belonged with her. I asked her if he was abusive to her or her children, and she said that he wasn't.

I then asked her if she felt that she wanted him to not have them out of spite. She told me that was the reason, because he cheated on her. I then told her that just because he was a bad husband doesn't make him a bad father, and he should have as much of a right to have them for christmas as she did.

She then told me that I couldn't win the argument with her because he cheated, and that makes him a bad person, and he shouldn't have the right to have his children on a holiday. I had to terminate the conversation based on the fact that it wasn't worth arguing.

I'm just glad he had a good lawyer.
