You have at least 50 years of life to enjoy.

You're here on redpill, which puts you ahead of 80% of the population.

Everybody's life sucked at 17. You're just starting on the path to being an adult. This takes years. Some never become adults.

You get to choose your own life, your own adventure. You're not bound by anything other than what is in your own head and your drive.

Find a hobby, a passion. get away from anything with a screen.

I'm 47, wealthy, collect cars and motorcycles as one of my hobbies (just bought my first Aston), in the best shape of my life, been lifting 35 years (5'10, 210, 19 inch bi's, striated delts, 4 pack), spin 3-4 plates on a regular basis, married for 20 years and she accepts I'm nonmonogamist, a Dom, n count way over 150 (stopped counting years ago) and love the fucking shit out of my life. I started as a four eyed low income latchkey chubby geeky kid to a single mom that had me at 17 on the other side of the continent in a different country.

I can't wait for each and every morning. It was hard work getting here, there were setbacks, and I had to grind and suck up the shit for a few years, but it's so worth it. I did it. Myself.

So get out of your own head. Get busy doing. Sounds like a motivational speaker but it's true.

Start out on a path. Any path. Soon you'll come upon a fork, and have to choose. This will keep happening, and your choices will lead you exactly to where you want to be, even if you don't know where that is yet.( none of us did at 17.)

As long as you keep walking you'll end up at your destination.

Explore different things till you find your calling. I didn't knew shit about life when I was 17. And I lost my virginity at 26, I think you will do better than that. And it never really matters. I Still feel awesome. Few things to try music, photography, sketch/paint, travel, nature walks, hiking, extreme sports (snowboarding, surfing), indoor activities (table tennis, billiards, bowling), just sports (football, hockey, cricket), be out in the sun more. And get used to be with people. You might hate them but still try it as a challenge, trying to figure out what and who they are. Cut out anyone who gets you depressed.

I went through a similar phase for sometime. You are 17 and haven't seen the world yet. Max out every possibility. Don't sit around at home. And oh, clean your room, believe me it helps.

And yeah gym, eat healthy and work out, and have some sense of style. And own who you are.

All these seem too much when you start. But after some time it will feel like sort of given and you will be a man and own the world.

I wish someone told me all this when I was 17.

Like the other posters, I keep myself busy. I want to learn everything, experience everything and make the best version of myself. There is nothing greater than seeing how you progress from year to year.

This is coming from a depressed 17 year old virgin kid who dosent find meaning in anything, kinda suicidal need to find something that will keep me going

First of all stop complaining. You are very young and have access to the kind of information (TRP, Wiki, endless amount of books) your forefathers would have killed for. Stop searching for meaning and create your own. Read books about everything, go read the bible, then go read the ancient sutras of buddhism. But don't take them for some holy words that you should live by, just experience them and pluck whatever knowledge you get from them. Then read some more, philosophy, psychology, science-fiction, french literature, russian literature, literally everything. Start meditating and start moving your body every day. If you are not already lifting, start that. But you can also immerse yourself in extreme sports or take up (good) martials arts. Take cold showers every day. Go out and sprint and scream. Acknowledge that no one will help you if you don't help yourself. Know that people are not your friends and want to help you, they want to be your friends because you provide them with something. This is a brutal lesson but the earlier you know it, easier it gets to accept it and use it.

Why are you lonely? Do you really need friends to come up with ways to spend time, whether it be learning or having fun? Create your own fun and your friends will join you. Similarly, being bored is an excuse for being lazy. You are still very young so you think time is endless and therefore you can spend it being bored. The sooner you realize that time is not infinite you get moving mountains. And for the love of god, stop masturbating. At least with porn.

I'm currently working full-time because I couldn't be bothered to go make major debt at University and spend four-years without money.

So I left school at 16 and got a full-time job.

When I was 17, I was just like you (minus the virgin part) I was depressed, had no meaning and felt suicidal.

To tell you the truth, I'm 19 years old and at times I still deal with bouts of depression and feeling suicidal, if you're not already lifting, start lifting. It's such a cliche, but man is it true.

They won't tell you this, but all the pills and therapy in the world will never replace the feeling of a pump and an iron bar in your hands.

The question you have to ask yourself is this: "Do I know anyone who has ever felt shit after a dominant gym session?"

Now, on to the second part, look at your appearance, if you're not getting any attention off girls, actually look at your appearance, PM me if you need any advice on clothing, hairstyles etc (or reply to this post, whichever you want) I've been trying this shit for years.

Word of advice:

"Just be yourself" doesn't work at all, you know those weird anime guys who walk around in weird anime clothes and fedora's and have neckbeards? Those guys who get insulted and bullied online? It's because they dress weird and don't take care of themselves.

Fix your wardrobe, get clothes that fit, and don't get weird clothes that nobody recognises what they are. (Band shirts etc)

I have a friend who wears really mature clothes (dress shirts etc) with no logos, and he has no experience or game with girls, but recently the hottest girl at his work has taken a huge liking to him. I met up with him the other day and he was telling me he was clueless as to why she was into him, I took one look at him and immediately knew why, the way the dude dresses is unreal, his clothes fit fantastic and he looks smart.

He wasn't wearing some weird Metallica/Nirvana crossover shirt that was four sizes too baggy, his hair wasn't overgrown, no neckbeard or torn up converse shoes. He just looked good, he didn't even need game.

Work on your appearance, look tidy and look good.

And above all OP, keep your head up. You need to accept that it's perfectly normal to feel shit. I feel it all the time, it's a teenage hormone thing. You can't feel happiness without sadness.

Get off social media whenever you can (people like to put up facade's on their and make there lives seem better than they actually are, making you feel miserable in-turn)

Lift more.
