You argue that feminism is a good thing, and that the MRM is an extreme. But you get banned from feminist subs and get a debate from /r/MensRights. I'll let you draw your own conclusions from that.

I think a lot of egalitarians are mentally lumped in with the MRM due to their refusal to be assimilated into feminism. All your arguments make sense to me, and I won't try to conscript you into the MRM simply for supporting Men's Rights.

Thanks for posting this blog. =) I really enjoyed your perspective; tbh, I wasn't familiar with egalitarianism. Moreover, thanks for not writing off the feminist movement completely. I think the feminist subreddit can be more radical than a place like TwoX (I've seen MRA-identifying people and feminist-identifying people talk there without issue). As someone who recognizes both feminist and MRA issues as legitimate, I never feel marginalized there myself.

I think that you can go further and be for the equal rights and empowerment of all people and still be anti-feminist. Feminists claim to be the only word on equality and aggressively censor or attack anyone that challenge them on this point - as you know. Just on this point (their penchant for censorship) alone (although I have other reasons), I can claim to be anti-feminist and still be for equal rights for all.

Just read all the way through your post. all the way through. Extremely interesting - it's not often that I read all they way through peoples' blog posts, but I found yours to be an exception. You essentially summed up my thoughts on feminism before I could even put them together myself. Thank you.

...Because it's just the little things isn't it? If a feminist calls Angela Merkel a great female chancellor, and uses this same discourse over and over again for all the other notable (pardon me) female figures, it just perpetuates the gap, if any, between the male and female in whatever context it's used - it insinuates that there's a difference between a male ___ and a female ___. While some may argue yes - subjectively there are differences between a male and female chancellor, who cares?? If they're good at what they do, why try and link it back and/or credit it to their sex? I know of academics that use the above concept as a "soap box" if you will, and it interests me and befuddles me all in one.

I'm writing my views on this all for the first time, while in a sleep-deprived state. Please voice your critiques. I'll be happy to reconsider my opinions and edit my comments after I've had coffee...

Why I Think Egalitarianism is Necessary (and Why That Doesn’t Cancel Out Feminism)

Well of course not. Egalitarianism is just Feminism 2.0. Feminism is based on equality (of outcome) and Egalitarianism is based on equality (of opportunity) and both will lead to the exact same place: female supremacy. The difference will be that women will have to act a little more grown up under Egalitarianism than under Feminism, at least at first.

But both are based on the same thing: men and women are equal. Both are wrong. Both pretend that the biological differences between men and women don't exist, and therefore neither is based upon those differences. So while Egalitarianism will be better for men in the short run, as it will set back Feminism a good 50 years or so.... that's all it will do. If it had it's way, in another 50 years we'll come up with a new word for a "new equality" to fight Egalitarianism shitting on men just like Feminism does today.

Why? Because until you accept reality, that men and women are not equal but are instead complementary, and create a system based on top of that reality rather than ignoring it.... said reality will unbalance your system in the same predictable way it unbalances every "equality" system: women's lesser disposability leads to women having less responsibility, and eventually even to women having more rights.
