Tonight my (now ex-) girlfriend and I got into a huge argument. She hit me in the mouth, ran out of my car and called the police on me. I'm currently staying with her and her parents so I called them immediately to tell them what had happened.

The police later on called me and asked me to come in and give a statement later but I declined and opted to calm down and give one tomorrow.

Now her Dad is furious with me saying I hit her first, and I instigated it and yadda yadda. I had never laid a finger on her and never even tried to block any punches because of articles I've read about men being fucked from so much as deflecting a punch.

Now they have taken away my car (joint-owned but I'm the only one making payments on it). Told me I can stay for a little while longer. And have told her not to press charges on me.

I have no idea what I'm supposed to do. I have no car now, or home. I'm packing up all my clothes in boxes and getting ready to ask some friends if I can stay there for a while, but I'm going to lose my job without transportation or anything of the like. I'm worried I'm going to be fucked with an assault charge. And this isn't the first time we fought. Almost a month ago exactly she drew blood on me and bruised me. I took pictures at the time but decided to not press charges or tell anyone. I'm scared and have no family to turn too.

Can someone please tell me what to do?
