Edit: The title should say "a definition of feminism everyone could agree with". Little nuance, it doesnt affect the bottom line.

feminism could be referred to as "the project to increase power of women". Why and how is this useful? Because there is not one definition of feminism, and who ever you are debating with will define feminism the most convenient way for him/her goals.

By referring to feminism as the project to increase the power of women, you are referring to the minimum common denominator, so to speak. If someone says feminism is about equality, this definition is logically consistent with that, as they are assuming men have more power than women. A female supremacist wants to incresa women's power ess if they have alreade power than men. So, the proposed definition is common to both.

Also, this is why women hate the men's right movemnt so much. Because it is the project to increase power of men. But of course, at least in my view, I don't want to increase power up to tyrannical levels. I just believe that there are plenty of areas where, depite common narrative, men are powerless, and those are the areas where we need to increase our power.
